    Well, you got a point there, but from my experience the game consoles don't handle DVDs as well, I have used my PS2 as a DVD player for years, but it really does not do so well with scratched discs and some DVDrs. Plus, using the game controller to control DVDs is kind of annoying, but the PS3 may have improved in this area, I don't know however...

    Still, six hundo is a mighty chunk of change...and I need to stop sitting around so much and get my *** moving...

    Yeah, plus I can watch a normal DVD just fine until the cost of blueray or HD DVD (whichever defeats the other in time - like beta versus VHS) players goes down.
