No longer the horrible amber color. I must say, looks extremely ShARP.

    Question 2 questions...

How did you do it? & How much light gets through compared to stock?

If you have photo's in jpg format. click on 'Gallery', then 'Gallery Links' then 'Upload Photo's'. See the browse button, click on it and then find the photo on your computer. Click on the jpg file (the photo you want to share) and then click on upload at the bottom. The photo will be copied to your gallery. THEN, go back to your orginal thread, or where ever, click on 'post reply' just like you did to write the thread about the blacked out side markers and off to the right you will see a 'My Pictures' button, click on it and it will take you to your gallery where your photo's are stored for everyone to see. Click on the photo and it will be added to your thread,..... got it

George (nyc #1 ironman) used to have his side markers blacked out...
Looked nice I think he used a product called nightshade. His VX was so nice.

in the thread I wrote about center cap decals, http://www.vehicross.info/forums/sho...6&page=1&pp=15
They also offer a headlight/taillight/sidmarker light tint in Smoke Black, 24" x 24" for 30 bucks.

Hmmm, the black on the white Ironman looks excellent. I don't know about black on black though, it might look weird, or it might just look like nothing, which would be fine. I was thinking of spraying them the same color as the cladding. I really want to find a second pair to experiment with.

Yeah, I saw that look a while ago and I think it's tailor made for an Ironman.
It just contrasts perfectly, especially with black wheels. I'm still wanting clear lenses though just for the legality paranoia.
If I had an Ebony, I think I would DEFINITELY do it IF I couldn't find clear lenses. I don't think the coppers would even be able to notice anything, especially if you just took your bulbs out.

    What product did you use?

Also how would you tint the tail lights?

I was going to use this guy Jon... but decided to spend my money on other things... still would like to get it done one of these days.

Quote from our email back when i was going to do this in 04.
To tint the tails and 3rd brake light on your truck would be $110 plus return shipping. Turnaround time can be as little as 3 days if next day shipping is used

They seem to do nice work:

cool! your upper lenses look cleaner than mine do, i think a shade darker too, mine looked more smoked than blacked out (i did mine with window tint)
bart, that might be an option for you until your positive that you want to keep them dark, it wasnt too difficult

i like a lot, do you know the name of the product the shop used?
