    TOD throwing code 13

    OK, so we finally managed to read the check light on the TOD by using a piece of wire. It's showing code 13 but where do we go from here? Thanks for all your help so far.

    So, that means that "The reference is short-circuited to GND". Here are guidelines from the manual (note, that it is US version of TOD, but I think they are mostly the same, though the pins could be different):

    2001 Isuzu VehiCROSS (build in progress): 4JX1/A340/part time, 2" body lift, front Aisin hubs, rear Aussie Locker, 4.56 gears, OEM rear sway bar disconnect, AirFlow snorkel, cabin air filter
    1980 Jeep Cherokee (assembling): 1.5" body lift, TBI, HEI
    1987 AMC Eagle: stock

    That's great thanks. Just one more thing - where is the TOD Control Unit situated?

    I believe it is under the passenger seat, plug goes through the floor into the TOD.

    On US version it is under the passenger seat, on JDM it could be under the driver's. But I'd start checking from underbody harness, most likely you have problem there due to water or dirt on the TOD sensors connectors.

    How to Clear The Trouble Code
    The trouble codes saved to the control unit can be deleted by the following procedure if the starter switch is being in the OFF position.
    1. Block wheels.
    Shift the transfer lever to the neutral position between HIGH and 4L, and short-circuit the self-diagnostic connector.
    NOTE: The neutral position between HIGH and 4L refers to the point that turns off the TOD indicator lamps. (However, be sure to check the position before short-circuiting the self-diagnostic connector.)
    2.Turn on the starter switch while maintaining the state of step 1, and step on the brake pedal five times within five seconds from the first step on. (Note that “five times” includes the first step on). (The TOD indicator lamps display the 4L mode whenever the brake pedal is stepped on.)
    3. If the conditions shown in steps 1 and 2 are met, clear the trouble codes saved to the control unit. (After the codes are completely deleted, the code 12 indicates the normal condition)
