Hey, right now I have a Chihuahua mix of some kind, and 2 cats, an Oriental Shorthair and a Cornish Rex.
However, when I was younger, I was an avid herper. At one point I had 5 aquatic turtles, 2 box turtles, a Florida King Snake, a Savanah monitor, a black and white tegu, a red-tailed boa, 2 ball pythons, a very large green iguana and a Tokay gecko....and oh yeah, 2 African Clawed frogs.
Right now I have no herps. Mostly because I have been moving around alot since I lived in Florida, but also because the herp pet trade left a bad taste in my mouth. Some of the over collection and poor husbandry I saw eventually got to me.
I plan to once again have a nice tank, maybe next year after we buy a house. I want to get a nice breeding pair of AFCs again (African Clawed Frogs) and I would like to build a nice turtle tank again. I have always wanted a Mata Mata and now I have the time, space and money, so eventually I will try to find a CB Mata Mata. If I don't go Mata Mata I will try to find a CB Alligator Snapping Turtle or a just a couple common snappers.
I just say make sure you know it is CB. The wild populations are dwindling, fast...
