Camera opinions, got any?

Ok,

So I have really been interested in the camera setup. My thing is do I want to go with the camera in the half moon? Or my idea was to mount a total of four cameras, mount one in each quarter window (back windows) for the blind spots, and take out the reflectors in the back bumper and place a camera in each hole.

Now I also have another Idea, I get an electronics magazine that has lots of advertisements for Robotics websites. So I got to thinking that a motor for some of the robots would be light duty and small enough to mount in the back attached to one of the cameras. This way I could use one as a blind spot viewer and rotate it for backing up.

Any thoughts?

i work on rv's and i have some here with three camera setups the system is pretty cool the side cams come on with the blinker for each side i'm sure this system could be made to work on a vx. you might want to check with your local winnebago dealer they may have some you could look at

i wouldnt reccomend removing the reflectors in the back bumper.. i park my vx on the street every day and they are always the first thing i see when pulling up to the vx in another car... very good fore safety.. btw in your searches have you found a camera that mounts over the licence plate securely (ie someone with a rachet couldnt just come swipe it)

You can get theft proof license plate bolts (requires a special wrench to remove) at Autozone.

Also self adhesive reflectors for the back bumper, if you remove the factory ones...

u can always mount A rearview camera in the 1/2 moon. its not acutally all that hard to do. the side mirror might be alittle more cumbersome, ive thought of the idea but that will require 2 more monitors. also cameras tend to flare up at nite when there are headlights around.

I found a package that comes with four cameras and the control box that is remote controled to switch between the cameras. I could get something like that and just run one monitor. The cameras that came with it looked fairly large though...
