I had an Ironman, could tell where the decals where when I got it and the seats did NOT say IRONMAN!

The price you pay to be different......
I know i seen my self in person couple white ones with no badges or seat stitching i got Ironman edition my self and i know where to look and how its looks like, i don't see any one in the right mind to pay extra $1000 for Ironman edition and to go and remove all the badges and replace the seats and so on it just doesn't make any sense
So i guess no one really knows the real count of the Ironman editions made and by installing the seats and stickers on your VX is not making it real Ironman (clone) unless you have original window sticker or docs to prove it, if any one know real facts Please let me know and try not to guess Thank you
Yeah, I personally removed most of the badges that were on mine. I had a previous post stating that my seats did not say IRONMAN on them and I found that odd. Sure the seats could have been replaced before I bought it but I don't think they were...who knows?
From watching the various VX forums through the years, a great number of Ironmans were debadged early in life. I've seen here several ironman owners who have purchased regular emblems from others' discards. I have never seen nor heard of a white VX purchased new in the U.S. that was not an Ironman edition, except for the Pearl.

What she said.
Regardless of whether or not a previous owner debadged or de-deated, the Victory Whites were all sold originally in the USA as "Ironman".
They came stock with the roofracks and special floor mats and seats. Otherwise, they are the same as the other colors.

According to an article on edmunds.com about the VX, Isuzu planned for 20% of its 2000 MY production to be Ironmans. Assuming they adhered to that plan, most, if not all, of the 96 Victory White models built that year would have been Ironmans, as 20% of the total production of 803 would have been almost twice that number.
If you are only interested in "real facts" maybe you should contact Isuzu...
Zorak has a good point...checking the source.
Westlund Isuzu and Scarff Isuzu in Washington both agree that all Victory Whites sold in the USA were originally intended as the "Ironman Edition", although nobody seems to know why there was a need for such a name or edition.
I owned one of the first-year USA Ironman VXs...a Victory White '99. I purchased it from Bellevue Isuzu, in Bellevue, WA...where they also informed me that white = Ironman and Ironman = white.
Anything else is speculation. Plus, it doesn't really matter, since many of these extra-cost Ironman editions were indeed immediately debadged. Those decals were sort of over-the-top. What, is every driver claiming to be a winner...or even just a participant...of the Ironman Triathlon?

Isuzu Announces Title Sponsorship of Ironman Triathlon Series
CERRITOS, Calif.--June 24, 1999--American Isuzu Motors Inc. has announced that it has come to an agreement with the World Triathlon Corporation to expand its involvement with the Ironman Triathlon World Championship and the Ironman series of events through the year 2002.
The multi-faceted, multi-year agreement has Isuzu serving as the Presenting Sponsor of the Ironman Triathlon World Championship event held each year in Kona, Hawaii. In addition, Isuzu will also be the Title Sponsor of three U.S. qualifying events each year.
"Isuzu's corporate philosophy is `Go farther,'" said Bob Reilly, senior vice president, COO, SUV.
"We launched our `Life is too big for cars' campaign to demonstrate that we are truck specialists. Likewise, our sponsorship of the Ironman Triathlon events are the perfect match because we think it represents the strength, durability and performance of our vehicles as well as the personal attitude of the people who purchase and drive them. This race truly illustrates the character and qualities we strive to put into everything we do," concluded Reilly.
"We're excited our involvement will carry into the next millennium."
Building on last year's participation as the Official Vehicle Sponsor, the new sponsorship agreement will have Isuzu's participation kicking off with the Isuzu Ironman USA Lake Placid qualifying event Aug. 15, 1999. Isuzu Ironman Florida is scheduled to take place Nov. 6, 1999, and a third event to be announced.
Isuzu will present a strong presence throughout the events via on-site signage, vehicle displays at each location, athlete-targeted advertising, and the Isuzu company logo on all event-related collateral materials and event merchandise.
NBC's coverage of last year's Championship in Kona, Hawaii, drew an estimated 50 million television viewers. This year's event is expected to draw even more viewers. The 1999 Championship broadcast will be tagged "Ironman Triathlon Presented by Isuzu" and will air Nov. 14 on NBC, with a re-airing to be broadcast during the spring or summer.
The television package also includes four ESPN showings of the Ironman qualifying events. The ESPN broadcast dates are still undetermined but will also include re-airings of the events.
To commemorate sponsorship of these prestigious events, Isuzu will bring to market an expanded lineup of special Ironman Edition sport-utility vehicles. Isuzu launched an Ironman edition VehiCROSS as part of last year's Official Vehicle Sponsorship, and this year's expanded sponsorship will add Ironman editions of both the Rodeo and Amigo sport-utility vehicles.
An Ironman VehiCROSS will serve as the lead vehicle for the event, with various Ironman vehicles serving throughout the event.
In addition, Isuzu will provide a number of Isuzu vehicles as awards to the top finishing participants. An Isuzu VehiCROSS will once again serve as the "Go farther" award for the athlete selected as most representing the "Go Farther" spirit. The top male and female athletes will also receive an Isuzu vehicle for one year.
They also had Sony Xplod music in stock.Originally Posted by PHO2GR4
