    Wink

I also remember RON buying these wheels from PEP BOYS and having them powder coated black:

Three of the four wheels were in decent shape cosmetically except for one. I would've stayed with the silver except that one wheel was too obvious that I wanted to get all to the same level. So, I had them powdercoated in black since I jsut wanted to offroad in them. They turned out better than expected after the powdercoating.

I tracked down the manufacture and it turns out to be a wheel that Pep Boys sells. Here's the link:

Don't know what they're selling for but they're in the same metallic silver as mentioned and the size I have are the 16x8.

The tires I purchased from tire rack were the Bridgestone Revos (265/70/16). Very nice on and offroad. Very quiet for an offroad/all weather tire and seems to hold its traction through wet and dry surfaces as well as the offroad trails. Quite please with the purchase of both parties for the intentional use of offroading and hitting the snow at Tahoe this winter.

My original set had chrome peeling as wel.
I purchased a new set of aftermarket wheels , but didn't feel like throwing the old ones away.
So I had them powdercoated .
The company that did it said it would cost me 75 euro's each.
I agreed and they went to work on it, but had such a hard time getting it right that I ended up paying 80euro's each.
But even for that price they would never do it again. So I understand powdercoating chrome wheels is not so easy.
I have the rims in storage but I'll post a pic next week.
They turned out rather nice in silver grey.

im full of questions tonight, when you guys are powdercoating, are you doing inside and out, im talking about inside the rim, the part that wont be seen because of the tire. i guess i ask because i was wondering if the powdercoating is applied where the tire seals on the wheel, or is that area taped off so that its a rubber seals to alloy? am i making sense?
