my alarm notifies my remote as soon as its triggered. Nice feature to have and some of the newer models will transmit quite a ways.

Ya it does look pretty sweet. Like Kenny said, see if you can get a write up going. I'm picking up that C/F hood this weekend from the other thread and will be doing this for sure.
