Both are the same load rate but the 912's are longer.

Call rock-road if you really want more info. Thats what I did and I do have the 912's installed with 265/75/16 - 32''

Eric, lets put a photo shoot together to help solve this. My VX is stock except for the 285 60 18's. Lunch today?

    Cool

John! Dammit! I'm at the office all day, doing Photoshop work. How about NEXT weekend? March 10th or 11th? Maybe the weather will cooperate for pictures!

PS: what were the STOCK tire dimensions for your 18" wheels? My 16 inchers used to wear 245/70/16's, but I don't know what the later 18" wheels came with...

    The 285's must look BEEFY!

I'll be installing my 913's soon (this week I hope) and I'll post all my #'s. I haven't decided what tire to go with on my new 16"s but for now I'm swapping the BFG 265/70-16's off the stock winter wheels and I might go to the 265/75-16 nitto terra's, then on my aftermarket 18"s which have 255/55 which will look odd with the lift I might install 285/60-18's Height on the nitto's are 265/75-16's are 31.54" and the 285/60-18's are 31.38" so they are close. Pic's and #'s coming soon...

    Eric, the stock were the Dualer HT's @ 245 60 18, 92.875 circumference, 29.56 inch diameter.

    The Toyo AT's are 285 60 18, 98.375 circumference, 31.31 inch diameter.

yes, beefy, brawny and just so F'in cool looking. Perfect tire for a non raised VX with 18 inch wheel for my taste. You'll see next week I hope.

I was just going through some old threads and found this and laughed my head off!! look what iceaxe wrote then see what vehigaz wrote and then look at how many posts iceaxe has... (both quotes are below.)

can i run the 913's with the stock shocks?

    OME912, 420 mm, 10.8, 180-300 (medium load Trooper 92-02)
    OME913, 390 mm, 9.3, 180-300 (medium Amigo/Rodeo 5door coil spring 98-02)
    OME919, 430 mm, 10.8, 200-280 (heavy load Trooper 92-02)

bar diameter is same for each. 913 has lowest coil weight, 912 is + 0.8Kg and 919 is + 0.9Kg.

I verified the application guide is correct as it pertains to the OME912 and OME913 part numbers with a Rep at ARB-USA who cross checked for any updates.
    I also cross checked in the Oct 2005 International Application guide and the specs are identical number for number, only the applications are listed as follows;

OME912 (medium load GM Frontera 95-98) and (medium Jackaroo/Monterey 92-2/2001)
OME913 (medium load GM Frontera 99+ 5 door)
    OME919 (medium Jackaroo/Monterey 3/2001 - 04, Heavy load Jackaroo/Monterey 92-2/2001)

hope this information is helpful and clears up any confusion about the specs.

There should be no problem at all to run with OME-913, there's lot of users who run with OME-912 and stock shocks. I'm currently have OME-913 installed with Tokico shocks designed for Trooper at the rear, but going to replace them back with stock soon.

Just installed 913s yesterday. I have about 50 miles on the some far and they are great so far. I currently have General Grabber AT2 265/70 16 and got 1.75" of lift for the install. To set my torsion bars I went by ride heights before and after, I will be visiting my thealignmentguy tomorrow to reset camber and check corner weights.
