Actually, Winter Mode doesn't self cancel until you go 21 mph or more for one second or more. It will not turn ON unless you are going 7mph or less with throttle opening less than 8% and transmission in D, N, R or P. There's a transmission oil temp limit too. I've forgotten what it is but if you need Winter Mode you typically won't have to worry about an overheating transmission...Originally Posted by MSHardeman
