Serious DIY sub power

Anyone interested in a powerful DIY amp/sub setup, here is a nice 1000w amp for sale from PartsExpress.com:

Is that a home sub amp or car? took a quick glance and didn't see whether it was AC or DC. That's serious power though.

This is why I said "DIY". It would be nice converted and mounted to a custom box or enclosure.
