NorthEast VX'ers Meet?

For all those northeast VX'ers who would like to set up another meet drop me a line for any ideas you may have. The weather is diffently warmer than our last meet. (LOL):laughy: When we almost froze our @$$es off looking at mods and hangin in the park lot of Mohegan Sun. Maybe we can now hit Foxwoods or maybe have a meet in a park somewhere? We can even see if there is someplace where we could have a mods party? If anyone haas some mods that they might need some help with. Here in RI there are a couple of parks where we could have a mods party but I know that some VX'ers might not want to travel aleast 4 hrs from NY to get here so we could come up with something closer. Let me know your thoughts. If this sounds like a plan then I say lets do this.:bwgy: All in Favor?

i have yet to go to a met and i am about to start moding the vx so i am def there im from nj so lets figue something under 4 hrs

I'm in, How about Bear Mountain?
We can do the VX mod thingee and the outdoor activity thing as well. This location seems central especially if guys from further south like, NJ, DE, PA, DC,MD want to join in. Just a suggestion.

This transplanted Rhode Islander would sure like to join you someday. Grew up in Wickford and miss home .....enjoy your meet!

Hey guys....... are you talking the 17th of May? Does Bear Mountain allow dogs to come? I'd hate to leave him home if there's some hiking and places for him to run around.

Dogs are allowed in this park, just a few rules however, they must be kept on a leash and are not allowed in the buildings or in the Zoo. Bring Him along he will have lots of fun on the mountainous terrain.

Hey, I am Val, for those of you whao dont know me yet. I am from Newton, MA. I am all for the NE meet but I was thinking that if would be great if we could do some off-roading as well as sharing the mods. What do you guys think? If we do hiking in stead id moesnt make sense to drive 100-400 for us guzzly VX owners just for 1 day. If we do camping , how about an overnight stay somewhere in a state park or camping park. What do you guys think?

Let do a BBQ there - I'd imagine there is cooking pits in the picnic area.
I'd be going by a Wholesale club on the way down and I could pick up stuff there, but I'd need to get idea on how many will show up.

Well Just wondering is this meet a bust? Looks like they are predicting am showers but I've come to the conclusion the predictions don't always work out :)

How about a New Hampshire coastal cookout (Greenland, NH) and maybe a cool photo shoot over on the coast of Rye! The ocean and rocks make for a great backdrop!

I am all for having a meet in NH. Can you give us any ideas about some place to go camping up there? I had e-mailed Dave(VXMAN) and Brian (BBVX) before about maybe going up to NH to do some camping and maybe some 4Wheelin but since I really don't know much about NH you can give us a heads up on somethings to do. I'm all for it just post anything you might have. I'm pretty sure we could come up with something.

count my Ironman in for NH coastal meet. Bear Mountain was a bit too far for my taste. Can we do some "mild" off road too ? Easy, easy it will be my first time :clap:

Well my yard is pretty big and I have lots of parking for VX's. Maybe I could clear it with some other people that live around me to have you guys camp right here on site. Who knows. Let me do some more work on the subject and see what I can cook up. There are a few campgrounds around here. But we're pretty distant from the white mountains region where the "real" camping is. Or we can just do a day thing..... ideas? How many people do we have?

NH huh? I haven't been to NH since my prep school days at Phillips Exeter Academy a long, long time ago.

Forgive my STUPIDITY Tony....Where the hell is Bear Mountain? (gotta be one of those VT things..."brain fart" or maybe I'm just getting old and losing it). I have been around New England most of my life but just can't place Bear Mountain.

Hey John Bear Mountain is in upstate New York. I can see why you might wonder where in New England it is cuz I live in Rhode Island but I am originally from the Bronx. I use to go camping there alot growing up.

DUUUUHHHH....LOL... I just picked up on that Tony...that post was started a while ago. But still a good idea? Yea, THAT Bear Mountain. If I remember right I was there a few times as a kid (but I'm dating myself here). Still be up for a meet there if anyone is interested.

That sounds good to me. Since it will be close to my boys birthday it would be nice to get himstarted in enjoying the outdoors.

I'm down for a NH meet. I live in the Greenland, Rye, Hampton beach area.

All Righty then.....Here's the call to arms....
ALL YOU NEW ENGLAND, UPSTATE NY AND YES, EVEN THE BOYS FROM JERSEY....

Let's try for a meet in the GREEN MOUNTAIN STATE (Manchester) for mid June of this year. I'll plan some activities like a little hill climb up Equinox Mountain, maybe a little off-road excusion through Green Mountain National Forest...just to keep things interesting.
I think maybe the V.O.R.C. will sponsor it...how's that Tony? (Since we are the local reps for this little club).
