Sorry to hear your VX is really sold Tone. I hope the new owner treats her well & that you enjoy your new ride as much as the VehiCROSS. Oh yeah... post a pic man!
Did you make it part of the deal that in order to buy it he had to promise to bring it out to visit in Moab?
Hope your new ride treats you well.
....and the new ride is?
O.K. Texas has lost one of the best VXs made. Who is the lucky state who gets to have it?
Peace.
Tom
Yes, it was so depressing to hear about the news that I told Tone to order me a SC :) Sunroof is next Lisa :bgwg:

Shes nice...
...and the Mercedes ain't bad either! :naughty:
The 3-valve per cylinder thing makes me say ML as well.
That model needs to jump into the MB and drive it to a JackInTheBox to get some food. She looks hungry.

Here she is...
You gave up the VX for a car?
I'm... shocked.
Okay, okay... you're kidding? Right? C'mon, show us what it really is...
We're waiting... Impatiently, I might add. ;)
What dribble about your mistake...ha! ;)Quote:

Not a car? Unitized body = station wagon. :p
Moab? Not for a while yet, Uwharrie is about as far as I want to go until the support rig is sorted out. Getting an eye for Tellico too. ;)Quote:

Aw, cmon Tone. That aint you. Wider tires, large rotors, panted calipers.... big deal.... I still see those all over around here..... with soccerball decals on the tailgate. :p
Now, if you had of gone G Class, with that AMG goodness.... then you would be talking. I am currently looking at a silver one here. Discontinued, so I think I am gonna haggle a bit. Kinda reminds me of the purchase power with the VX. ;)
Gelandewagens RULE! ;) Not too mention they could pass for the twin of a 1st-Gen Trooper. Except they've got a soft-top SWB model and turbo-diesels galore here in the US.Quote:

Hopefully Tone's next shocker isn't going to be about a "special" operation he's been saving for! :eek:Quote:

Hey Tone,
Welcome to the Mercedes family. I've been waiting for a crossover friend. I sure do miss my VX though. Still haven't found out who bought it and if it has a good home. Mercedes assured me that it would be fine when I traded her , but I think they just wanted my 50 Grand... lolololll..
:p
I had one of those ML55 follow me for about 80 miles about two years ago. It was from Payson, AZ down to Chandler, AZ... My VX was still stock so I was able to hit the speed limiter a few times. I did lose him a few times due to better driving;- I guess. Most of the drive was downhill from the mountains. We flew past everycar we could find doing well over a hundred.
So, I give it up to the ML55 because I like to drive fast and its an AMG. But not being able to go offroading and being scared of scratching the truck would suck. Us Arizonians have tons of "Arizona pin stipes" in our babies. Just ask Triathelete and VxCaver. Im keeping my VX for now...
Now here's a real MB...

I stand corrected! It really does have a frame under all that wagonesque demeanor. :p
The BMW X-series at least has an impressive rally history.
I've seen an ML320 the older body style with a set of Micky Tompson Baja Claws. They filled the tire well nicely.
