Wheel fitment question info.please

Hello,I'm currently in the process of removing mods from my current vehicle,which is a 97' Chevy Tahoe.I'm doing this so I can sell it to purchase a VX.My Tahoe has 6x5.50(139.7) bolt pattern 20X8.5" chrome Zinik Z1 Shoguns wrapped in 295/50/20 Falken Ziex S/TZO4's I would like to find out if these will fit a stock VX,because if so,I will remove them from my Tahoe before selling and keep them to install on a VX.Oh at the moment,I'm not exactly sure of their offset I think it's 15mm,but I'll try to find out tomorrow. Yep should fit... www.tirerack.com has them listed for the VX. only thing is your tires probably will not fit, they are recommending 275/45-20.

The VX is not listed in the tirerack drop down. Which Isuzu do you choose to find wheels that fit the VX?

Shop for wheels > Isuzu > Select Year > 2000 and Click GO
2000 Isuzu > Select Model > Vehicross (last one at the bottom of the drop down).

Yeah,I was looking around on Tire Rack's site and it seems that they just list tire/wheel upgrade sizes,that are closest to the vehicles factory diameter. Would the 15mm offset be a problem on a VX? I noticed on here that some members where running 285/60/18's on there VX's.Are those on VX's that are lifted or stock suspended.When I check sizes on a tire calculator it seems that 295/50/20's are extremely close to that diameter.Thanks for your help.

Just make sure the center bore is large enough for the VX. The VX's is a bit larger than most. Good luck in your hunt for a VX. There are severa for sale here on the board that may be worth taking a look into.

Ok, well... given the way they look, I'd have to say you're out of luck. Even if the center bore is big enough, I highly doubt the front hubs will fit behind those center caps. A good preliminary check is to see if the wheels fit any 4x4's.

To be certain they'll fit you should call the manufacturer and get exact measurements on the diameter AND the length of the center bore. You can reference the measurements and diagrams of the VX's front hubs to make it easier on you.

They would look hot in a 20x8.5 chrome - go for the +20 offset and they should sit about flush with the fenders. And they're not so pricey, either! :)

I got the 18" polished aluminum witha +2 offset - they stick out a little and have a bulldog stance. A little different look, but they still look great!

PPS - you should NOT get the 295/50/20 tires. Those have a 31.6" diameter, and would require MAD trimming, and possibly even a lift. You should go instead for a 295/45/20, which would have a 30.5" diameter - slightly bigger than stock, but won't require so much trimming. They would work well with the AE wheels I mentioned above.

Thanks for the info. guys.I checked out Zinik's website and they offer the wheel with two choices of center bore,108 and 78.Of those two I'm not sure which of these are the center bore on the Zinik's that are currently on my Tahoe,which is 4WD.Well,I was hoping I would be able to remove them from my Tahoe and keep them to put on a VX,but I think I'll just sell my Tahoe with the Zinik's as I would feel more comfortable purchasing a set of wheels that will definitely fit a VX.Thanks again for your help.

Well it seems from reading that link that was posted,the VX is a 110 bore,so if my wheels are 108 center bore,they are not going to fit.Thanks everyone for your help,I appreciate it.

The bore of the stock VX wheels is just under 108.

108 will fit the VX hubs in diameter - actual diameter of the hubs is under 100mm, but remember that the hubs protrude FAR from the mounting face.

Thanks for all the helpful info. but as of now I've decided to just sell the Tahoe with the Zinik's,as I might be able to sell it for a little bit more money.When I get a VX,I'll just purchase a wheel and tire combo that is already known to work on the VX's.

Maybe a kind VX owner in the Baltimore area would be willing to let you do a test fit on their VX...then you would know for sure. I'm pretty sure there are several from your area on the board!

I think you're doing the right thing. In my opinion, those wheels just don't "fit" the VX's personality right, anyway. Leave them with the tahoe. :)
