I'd be tempted to visit on that one jagusmc- This Rhode Islander misses the motherland from time to time. I'm lucky enough to be at a conference in July at the Foxwoods in Connecticut. It will be the first time I've been back to N.E. in years.

You wouldn't happen to be a marine would you? A Marine Attorney? Oh oh....:)
I am trying to get a New England VX Meet organized right now up in and around Manchester Vermont for either June 11 or July 23.
We (the VehiCROSS Owner's Registry Club along with members of VehiCROSS.info members) hope to organize a little mad cap weekend up here in the Green Mountains with a hillclimb event up Equinox Mountain and a romp through the Greem Mountain National Forest.
Anyone interested???
John
Count me in John, but I think I can only do the weekend of the 11th. We've got weddings, weddings, and more weddings after that...
June dates sound good to me. I'll run it by Alex and the wifey but I don't see a porblem so as of now count me in.
yes I would be a Marine. Former as we like to call ourselves when not active duty any longer.
Not an attorney though just work in the field of law/consulting now.
I live in Virginia so most the east coast is doable for me, time is too. :)
So far, either of those weekends work for me. Count me in, John.
Thanks,
Brian
All Righty Then.....The interest is there so let's all plan for a romp throught the Green Mountains of Vermont on JUNE 11th (Saturday).
Roll call time...stand up and be counted;

John :)
Just put in for a vacation day coupled with the weekend off so I can meet up with you guys....I'm counting the days :)
Sweet....I finally get to check out a Supercharged VX up close and personal.
Looking forward to meeting up with you.
John
Hey Guys and Gals....
I just got a heads up from the Chamber of Commerce today.....
The weekend we picked will be a car paradise for all us car nuts.
The long running Hildene(That's Robert Tod Lincoln's estate in Manchester, Son of Abraham Lincoln) Antique Auto show will be running that weekend along with a car parts flea market.
Also the Equinox hill climb may have to putoff because there will be an annual antique sports car club hill climb that weekend also. Lots of really sweet antique race and sports cars making the attempt up the hill.
But we still have the romp through the Green Mountain National Forest...and maybe a few more surprises.
Let's make this a fun event...put you name on the list
John
Hey Gang...
Let's end up getting a real good turnout for this our first (Hopefully an annual event) New England Meet.
We have four officially listed on the Events posting,JAGUSMC is even coming up from Virginia and JOLLYROGER is headed up from Pennsylvania. I know it's still a ways away but we have a great weekend picked for everyone with lots of activities going on up here.
All you members from New York(Yes,even NYC#1IRONMAN), Connecticut,New Hampshire,Massachusets,New Jersey, Rhode Island and parts unknown...sign up today.
John
Here is a little map which that might help you find "greater downtown Manchester,VT"http://www.vehicross.info/gallery/da...hester_Map.jpg
Count me in for this one!
See you all soon!
I'm a tentative John!
That's SUPER......We have 9 on the list so far who are coming to attend the JULY 11th Meet.
Let's keep the list growing and make this a big one.
If anyone needs lodging and or other information let me know, hopefully I can put you on the right path.
John :)
Geez...seems I'm gonna miss y'all by a week. I fly into Hartford on the 19th and will be at the Foxwoods (because of a conference) and R.I. (because I miss home) for six days. And to think I'll lose out on the "furthest traveled for a meet" door prize too. You folks enjoy yourselves. George

Even though I'm in Alaska with my VX (had to get some service done by my mechanic) I should be back in Boston by the end of May...so I'll try my best to make it. Count me 1/2 in!
Hey Shoota77...
If you are driving back you would win the L.D.A. of the day (Long Distance Award)....LOL
Try to get in touch with BBVX(Brian) maybe you guys could caravan over from the Boston area together.
So we now have 9 1/2 on the list.
John
So would I be getting a cookie or a medal for that distinguished distinction? :p
LOL....LOL...you'll never know until you get here !

...but you get a map and a dash plaque of the event.
John :p
Hey Guys I can't make this one. I'll be at the Americade Rally that weekend. Big bike time :) Hope it turns out great.
Andy
I'm all signed up to go but I have this one small issue, I'm one of those people who cant find their way out of a paper bag. Is there anybody from the Rye, Hampton, seacoast area I could caravan with?
Another quick question; How long is everyone staying and where are you staying? Hotel, campground, what are our options?
Well, the plan is for a one day meet but there is plenty do around this area if you feel like hanging out for the weekend.
Lots of campgrounds available, hotels, motels, country Inns...you name it.
If anyone is planning on staying the weekend you had better book now because there are going to be a lot of Antique Car Nuts in town for the big car show at "Hildene" (on Saturday and Sunday) and there is also the antique sports car rally at Equinox Mountain(scheduled for Saturday).
We have a couple of VXers in NH...you should be able to caravan over easily
(UNEVENTHOUGHTS get a hold of VEHIX).
As long as everybody can find Vermont Route 7 you are there...this Route runs right through Manchester.
John
T-Minus 16 days and counting....
Getting closer guys and gals....We have 10 members on the list so far to head to Manchester, VT for the New England Meet.
Anyone else out there want to join us???
I have prepared some "goodie bags" and "Dash Plaques" for everyone who attends.
For those of you coming from N.H.- Either take Route 101 to Keene, to Brattleboro and then follow Route 30 to Manchester or find VT Route 4 in the Northern part to Rutland and take Route 7 south to Manchester.
Those coming from MA- take MA Route 2 from Boston to Route 91 to Brattleboro then follow Route 30 to Manchester.
From CT & RI-Take Route 91 to Brattleboro then follow Route 30 to Manchester.
We should all meet at "The Inn @ Manchester" on Route 7A around 10-ish and go forth from there :) . Look for the ISUZU flag flying in the breeze.
John
Sounds good John, we'll see you there!
Thanx for putting this together.
Brian
Hey Gang.....
Here is a quick update on what we can expect on June 11th:
(This is what I have lined up as of right now)
1. Coffee and danish breakfast at the Inn@Manchester on Route 7A around 10-10:30 am.
2. An Off Road excusion through the Green Mountain National Forest.
3. I have lined up the Land Rover Off Road Driving School to teach us how to navigate an off-road course(right now it's a mud bog...more fun). The course is taught with Land Rover Vehicles for insurance reasons. If anyone is interested in this there is a fee of around $60-80.00(not quite sure of exact fee yet...trying to work a deal with one of my buddies). You will be guaranteed a good course and it's well worth it. One of the instructors,my friend, is a "VX Freek" as well as a "Rover Nut". Who ever decides not to participate in this event can be free to do whatever untill about 3:30 pm. We will meet back at the Inn@ Manchester for our event #4.
4. After 4 pm we can climb up the winding 5 mile trail to the top of Mount Equinox. Since there is a Vintage Sports Car speed Hill-Climb event running there all day,we won't be allowed up until 4pm. The views are awesome!!
There should be time for some shopping and or sightseeing. But keep in mind this is Vermont and all the Outlet stores close at 6 pm sharp(and the sidewalks are rolled up at 6:15 pm :p )
If this sounds good to everybody then I will make the final preps.
ANYONE ELSE OUT THERE JOINING US????
John
Just wanted to post a map of what's going on at the "VX-PLORE ONE" VehiCROSS Meet on June 11th to let everybody see what's going on.
Anymore takers for this(Hopefully) fun Saturday in the mountains?
I know there are more that 9 VX owners out there..... John

Rooster and UnevThoughts...if you two can meet up just follow 101 to Keene and then on toward Brattleboro, VT. Once you cross the bridge take a left and you are on Route 5, There you hook a right up onto Route 30 towards Manchester,VT. Piece of cake!
We are all meeting at the INN @ MANCHESTER on Route 7A South around 10 (ish) for coffee and breakfast pastry. Just look for the ISUZU Flag on the front lawn and my IronMan in the driveway out front.
See you there!
John :)
I wont be able to make the meet on Saturday, work just wont let me go right now. We let a few people go last week and I've been stuck with the extra shifts till we find replacements (which should have been done by now). That coupled with a last minute family get together scheduled for Sunday put a crip in the whole weekend. Maybe next time guys, Thanks -Rick
Hey Uneven,
I know how you feel. I wont be able to make this meet either. I just started a new job this week and got suckered into working every Saturday til July. The only thing cool about it is that for every saturday I work this month I'll get every friday, saturday off next month with pay. So the money comes in handy for my little mans 1st birthday in August. Since it is his 1st birthday I want to make it alittle bigger than the norm and all you guys will diffently be invited.
Sorry to see that Rick and Tony won't be coming this time around...work issues and Andy is up at Lake George with the rowdy bikers :p .
Tony...glad to hear the little guy is doing well (Wow, 1st birthday,,,time flies).
We will see the rest of you on Saturday at the INN @ Manchester around 10 ish or so. The off road thing may have to be cancelled...they called yesterday and said that they have a lot of bookings for that day and they may not have enough instructors or cars available.
There are still a few hotel/motel rooms and camping sites available in the area so if you are staying...not to worry!
Anybody else coming that I don't know about yet???
John
Sorry John, I can't make it either.
There was a citation on my Blazer today saying if it wasn't moved in three days, it would be towed. I'm in the middle of a 4" lift and the truck is kind of in pieces, meanwhile Vicky and I have been landscaping the backyard and I put the Blazer on hold. I guess the backyard switches to the back burner for a while.
Sorry all.
Brian
Sorry to have to post my regrets as well, John, but it turns out we have to do an early Father's Day this weekend, since we'll be away next weekend. Can't get out of this one, unfortunately. Besides, I haven't gotten my two VT tickets from Mem Day weekend paid yet, so I can't rack up any more just yet. ;-) One of these days...
