A new gas station opened up near me & the other stations are competing with their 'grand opening' sale on fuel.
Gotta love it.

Can you send that here please...we're still over $3 per gallon...:(
Gas Buddy is showing $2.69 in my neighborhood. Time to fill up the VX and the gas cans (at which time the price will drop another $1.) :)
insert two cents
nice, but with the problems members have had with engine failures and piston oil holes being plugged with carbon from maybe cheap gas, well as the fram guy said, you can me now or pay me later. I stick with top tier gasoline.
Most gas comes from a handful of companies. I have been burning the cheapest gas I can get since I have owned my VX with no issues.
The jury is still out on that one. Ask 5 people & you'll get 5 different answers. Besides, Sheetz makes good sammiches so their gas must be good too (You know the old saying: Eat here & get gas!!!).
Me 3.
I put 500 miles per week on my DD so I need to fuel up at least 2x weekly. Darn tootin I'll be going for the lowest price & once you get in the habit of stopping at a certain gas station, you tend to stop there with all of your vehicles.
I passed by there this morning & price is still the same. I need to run the RV over there too before the prices start creeping up.
Currently $2.56 at Sam's Club in Chatt (and a whole bunch others at $2.61)

Prices are lower in SoCal but still more than anywhere else. I filled up this morning @4.26 / gal and drove to Las Vegas for business. Topped off here for $3.89. Prices are getting too low. I predict a crisis soon that will once again raise the prices.
here is $2.55 a gallon $2.75 for ethanol free which I try to use.
Still above $4.50/gal for regular in Aspen. Luckily I don't buy my gas in Aspen, but it's still in the $3.60 range where I DO buy my gas. At least it's pretty here....gotta look on the bright side.
Are there like really high county/city taxes in socal? I don't understand how its so much more in such a populated area compared to my barged fuel, $3.79 at normal places here. Summer its 4.30-4.50
In the 2.77 range and dropping!
SoCal has their special "summer formula". It's the end of summer now and it's time for the "change over". Another excuse to keep the prices up. Also, I think we pay about .50 per gallon in various taxes. I saw a break down of the taxes once and it was amazing. I need to invent that engine that runs on dirt. I got plenty of that.

Yep. And the voters just keep on blindly passing new measures that keep dinging the gas tax. They don't have a clue that we pay so much. But that's OK. They're all going to save the world with their Prius's. (The Prius is going to be the VW Bug of the new millennium)
Its election time, that's why the prices are dropping. Once they are over, the prices will go back up
So if the priuses are the new VW Bugs, does that mean we have to teach kids to hug each other instead of punching each other when they spot one on road trips?
That seems unlikely given that gas prices leading up to the 2012 presidential election were doing the opposite of what they are doing now, peaking a little over a week before final voting on Nov 6th and then dropping to a 12-month low mid-december.
And of course....
Fox "news" has done a 180... in their "fair and balanced " way !!!
From blaming POTUS for high gas prices...hurting everyone.
Now blaming POTUS for low prices that....hurt the economy.

Cheap energy is here to stay for awhile. Nothing to do with POTUS or election. Shale gas production is a huge factor. Producing more oil than needed in the world. Efficiency increasing everywhere. Many other factors at play. US to be largest energy producer by 2017 outpacing Russia with gas in 2015 and outpacing Saudi Arabia with oil by 2017.
Yah. Bro saw same in Tupelo, MS
Don't know how Kona-V does it...just got back from there...gas is $2.95 at Costco (and they are closed on New Years so filling up the rental with cheap gas wasn't in the cards) and $3.75 everywhere else...:bwgy::bgwo::bgwb::smilewink

Sometimes I can't stand NY (Long Island, to be specific).
Actually, it's probably more accurate to say that sometimes I like it.

We're still hovering just below $2 & that's after a new tax kicked in last week.
$2.90 here on the Gulf Coast MS. Still nice to fill up around the $40 mark.
Paid $1.27 in CO today.
I had a small discount offer, but still had a college flashback...:bwgy::smilewink:bgwo::bgwb:
