thought it might be SPAZZ's old rig - but no hood scoop and the fairlead is different
Looks like Jay's old VX to me.

Oh yeah, definitely. I never really saw pics of Jay's, and the seller said it was out of Dallas. That's got to be one well built ride since it was his.
That's a nice looking VX, supercharged, oversized wheels, winch, offroad lights... Got everything I want to do to mine!
I e-mailed Jay...
.....he needs to buy it back
Its loaded...HD rear links/custom skid plates/tie rod protection etc etc.
Only odd thing to me..ARB is in rear diff

So.....anyone have any info on the winch mount? :)
Try this...
http://www.vehicross.info/forums/sea...earchid=545606
...from the search function .

Thanks, but I've already tried that, and seen those (although the super winch hub bits that Merlin purchased and reviewed, I haven't seen, so thanks! *lol*). I'm looking for information on *that* specific mount, not the aggregate information available on the forum.
Take a deep breath Jay...
Relax...
.
You are feeling very sleepy...
.
Repeat after me...I MUST BUY MY VX BACK :p
jo
PS...maybe you can help "eternal" with his winch mount questions.
Unfortunately I don't. I remember the bracket was permanently welded to the frame ends and tucked in fairly tight. This had the added benefit of replacing the rust magnet front metal hoop bumper assembly underneath the cladding as well. Who knows though, I may be able to take some pictures of it for you soon! :p
Cool. The only bracket I've seen has been a monstrosity in size. I'm thinking a sturdy one can be made that doesn't weigh like 150lbs, b/c the last thing I'm trying to do is decrease gas mileage *lol*.

Jay & I were able to hang out at O'hare today! We had a couple of hours until his flight to Wisconsin. I really love being a part of this VXer family! Dinner, drinks, great conversation... reminiscing about past fun, planning future fun, and thinking about our VXer brothers & sisters... I think having a VehiCROSS has made my life so much more interesting and exciting.
Though you never left the family Jay, congrats & welcome BACK to the addiction!
Made it home around 2:30 am after a 16 hour drive. Man, forgot how loud the exhaust is on it, my ears are still ringing. Truck is amazingly preserved, almost as good as when I sold it 8 years ago. a little time underneath with a wire brush and POR to get rid of some Wisconsin winter surface rust is going to be the biggest project and that's not too bad either considering the time up there.
Wow! Has it really been 8 years? Congrats on the reunion!!!!
Peace
Tom
p.s. I forgot this:jump::LineWave::clap::dan_ban:
Awsome Jay!!
Glad the drive went well...
....was keeping my fingers x'd for ya after ya phoned to confirm the deed was done!!!!..
Bring on Moab!

Bang on. In for photos....especially when the front bumper cover comes off :D
Jay is back! Congrats, Jay!
You are welcome. I'm glad that I was able to reunite you and your old VX. All I ask in payment is that....well, you already know :D *lol*
Wait... what?!?! You really bought it back?!?! THAT'S AWESOME!:LineWave:
I don't know what condition it's in, but if it's been a little neglected and you want a couple extra hands for a little extra, up-front detailing, just say the word and I'll help however I can.
I have a buffer (ok, well, two), I'm not afraid to use it (them) and have tons of supplies in my "VX diaper bag."
Coffee & Cars is only 3 weekends away ya know... :naughty:
Thanks Rick, I appreciate the offer. We may need to have a detailing meet soon anyway. The body and interior are in great shape, it's the underneath that will take a little work. I'll start on that in a couple of weeks hopefully.
Since I missed the last one, I'll certainly make the Aug. C&C.
Wow ... That's 2 Vehicri that have been bought back by previous owners this year. Them's is stories I likes to hear!!!
