RENO car dealership -Mill Street Auto- Anybody know?

Anybody know or have dealt with DAN BROWN Sales Manager at Mill Street Auto in Reno, NV? It's a used car lot - 690 Sunshine Lane in Reno.

I got stiffed on $120 when I sold the spare tire cover to him.

He was on the Facebook Vehicross site and said he needed one, and was referred to me on the forum.

Yes, I shipped it pronto before I got paid as he said he really "needed" it - you know what a softy I am when it comes to fellow VXers even though you can't really "NEED" a cover! :rollo: - (I hear Dub's voice in my head right now :_brickwal)

Despite several txts, emails and phone conversations - and many "confirmations" it'd been sent - still no payment and it's been over a month!

Apparently it was actually for another person named Vicki Brown (hmmm, same last name :_thinking) - he gave me her number - but no answer and no response to v.m. - what a surprise!

I wrote the owner of the biz yesterday, see if that does anything.

I guess I'm really just venting here….:mado: :_mecker: :_mecker: :mado:
Any suggestions?

We could all take turns calling Mr Brown & ask how we can get a VX spare tire cover for free.

Well, that is pretty crappy. If I have time, I will see if I can stop over there and talk some sense into the guy....

I don't know the dude, but I can smear his name around town! That is really low to take someones trust like that and take a crap on it!

Oh wow V, you found more info than I did. I got all the LinkedIn and Facebook info on Brown, the business owner, and the biz itself. Owner isn't active on any of them for a long time.
But wow, that's some long dirtbag legal history right there!
He paid her $2,700 PER MONTH and she can't send me $120!

I researched the owner and found he was a used car sales guy for 20 years before opening this place a few yrs ago, so I don't really have much hope he's going to give a flip either. I wrote owner that my agreement (oral contract) was between Mr. Brown thru the biz, so the money was owed from the biz.

On the Mill Street Auto website, the only contact info is Brown's name/phone number, but the only email appears to be the OWNER's email. So I don't know who got my email I sent there.

Thought I'd post the final chapter and how this all ended up.....

~Dirtbag sold her VX with my spare tire cover in it of course! (Never returned it to me as I demanded).......

~She bought a new Honda and financed it thru American Honda......(um, wait...I thought you couldn't afford to pay me my $106 ??....but you can handle a car payment eh?)

~Dirtbag Dan called me by phone all drunk to harrass and threaten me about people posting bad things about him on FaceBook over this.....

and then......

......FILED FOR BANKRUPTCY!!!! and after repeatedly, repeatedly assuring me she sent the money...TWICE.....:rollo:

.....then sent me a $10 money order (that cost her over $6 to send registered mail - any wonder she went BK with that kind of financial analysis?)

....and listed me as a "creditor" to whom she owed money .....(hmmmmm, guess that means you lied about sending me payment twice....and it got "lost in the mail", eh?)......

.....and got the Bankruptcy Court to discharge all her debts !

POOF! Just like that, I got screwed !

....and don't even get me started on dirtbag Dan that started all this!!


These two people are such lying lowlife scumbags that I won't even waste any oxygen talking about !

That sux Sue, sorry to hear you got burned. This is probably why a lot of web forums won't even allow you to post a WTB or FS ad until you have at least 100 posts...

If she has the honda, can you register a lien against her title? May be too late as the bankruptcy court ruled to expunge all debts but they should have liquidated all assets first to pay off the creditors.

Most likely though, as you said... not worth the hassle.
