Just bought a bike rack from this company when the rep was visiting my bike shop.
He also has a line of racks. If I didn't have the Thule 240 on the vx, I would be looking at one of these. Pretty awesome rack.

Wow that is one awesome looking basket! But its twice as much as the ones I've been looking at.
It seems to be the same. But with a closer look, it doesn't have the integrated cable lock and the connecting plates for the possible 21" extension are different. Maybe it's an early gen model?Quote:

Love the finish on that basket, if I was in the market it'd be on my list. But for that price I wonder if you couldn't just refinish a Yakima basket?

I was researching roof baskets & came across this post. I really liked the styling so I searched on Craigslist...lo & behold the Vagabond X WITH the extender new & in the box 15 minutes away from my house. Paid $550 for it all. Apparently the guy selling it had bought it for his wife's Jeep but she wanted an enclosed Thule box so it was going to cost them to ship it back. Haven't had a chance to install it yet but I will post some pics once I do. Hoping it looks good w/ the extension.

Yes...just longer....about 6ft long or so. I was thinking the same thing about the gap but it can't be any different than most anything else out there. I'm hoping that once it is loaded down with gear, it will look more "normal".
