ZUZOO2013
MOAB...not just for Barbie cars :)
Whatever design is decided, I hope it can be a little smaller footprint than 2012.
"The Mayans Were Wrong 2013" :p
LOL.How about some design ideas......
..not just one liners :p

What ZuZoo is this? The main thread says that it's ZuZoo VX (which doesn't make sense really :bwgy:). Is this ZuZoo XV? I thought that was last year. I think this year is ZuZoo XVI. Don't know what bearing that has on the sticker.....but it might.....
I think XVI is correct. My first ZuZoo was IV in 2001.
Has there been a sticker with a vx driving over a jeep grill? Or driving over the remains of a broken jeep?
But here's a 5 minute hack job of my mutilation of an American Icon:

Original (I own one of these patches from the actual mission):

You get the idea.....do with it what you will (the VX probably needs to be less detailed/more cartoony)
Not that I know that much about MOAB (or Photoshop obviously), but what does everyone think of something along these lines?
Add a good one-liner (and a LOT of Photoshop touch-ups), and you're good to go.

Stickers have customarily been a solid color (white) so the design needs to be fairly basic. Landscapes and photo type stuff don't do well.
That's why I said something along those lines. All it would need is the graphics dumbed down. If it's something everyone would be interested in, all the design would need is a basic arch, a straight line for the rope...and the VX profile usually speaks for itself...and there you are...again.
As Bily says...more a graphic than a pic...but thanks for the ideas.
I'd shoot the stickers on my back window and post them...
..but the ORW is away on a health break
Anyone up for doing that...to show previous years examples?
STOP PRESS..OR...take a look here for past years stickers from Kenny...

Haven't done anything with the logo in a while, could be something simple like:
http://www.vehicross.info/gallery/da...umbs/ZuZoo.png
With or without "Isuzu" at the bottom. And probably gussied up a little from my amateurish graphics skills.
I like Jays idea...anyone with photochop skills make the left side of the 'I" the moab zuzoowording and the right side tire tracks?
If its kept pretty simple i can 3D print plastic emblems/badges for anyone interested!
We need KENNY...
...the master of the Moab Graphics!!

Spring is late this year...we are getting plastered with snow right now.
How about something simple?

Since I'm not going, I don't get a vote:)
I thought myself pretty funny with this one though:
Do we want it like this image or the inverse i.e. the letters in white?
All those skinny white lines going thru the letters, both vertically and horizontally, will likely peel off pretty easily.
Although I like it this way, I think the inverse, so we have bigger chunks of vinyl.
Thoughts?
Since the stickers are white and the "black" is your window the inverse would not work.
I have a small attachment for mentioning 'ZuZoo XVI' somehow, otherwise I think it looks good.
yes it would billy, we've had this discussion beforeā¦it ends up being a defined square decal like this in 2011. It's the "postive" vs. "negative" image, but it's not the most attractive.
All I'm saying is those fine white lines will be very vulnerable to coming off.

I have Moab rock art stickers that have a lot of fine lines that have been on my window for7-8 years with no problems.
The defined square...
...was one of two options of same graphics in 2011 IIRC....
The ones I had done were the reverse of these...
...and have stood up very well despite narrow/intricate lines.
Personally...I also think that the square stickers are ugly ..not as classy
Jo
Whatever you guys decide, if someone wants the original illustrator image, send me a pm and I'll email it to you. It's the work of a few keystrokes to reverse the image and not much more to add to it.
well that's cuz you only wash your truck about 1/year but SOME chose to wash it more often in an automatic carwash and those brushes scrape those fine lines off after not too long.
I don't know exactly what Moab rock art stickers are, so I don't know their quality, were they made by the same local shop we usually use for the custom ones? Are they the same quality vinyl?
Yep, same kind of material. Mine tend to crack long before they peel due to the sun. I'm with Jo though...I prefer the looks without the square.
And what are you talking about once a year...are you crazy? I still have red Moab dirt on my VX from my last Moab trip...almost 2 years ago :D
I might wash it before I leave this year :)
Jo that's what I'm trying to say! I like the other version better also, AND I learned from MY ****up in 2011 with these decals that tiny lines in WHATEVER frickkin' type decal (positive or negative) DON'T STICK WELL! YOUR version of the 2011 DIDN'T have the small white lines in the TREAD DESIGN, MY *&%$ed up version did!
Pick whatever version you guys want. I'll just replace mine if it has stuff come off.
Yup Kat...
Now you remind me..pretty sure youre right.
See ya Thursday for a beer at O'Hare :_beer:
