Any VX'ers in Hampton Roads VIRGINIA?
I am in Newport News, right outside Ft Useless. PM me and we can setup a meet sometime.
I'm up the road in Fredericksburg. We make it down to Williamsburg a few times each year. Hope to meet up with you sometime.
I'm in HR on business a couple times a month but not always in my VX. Give me a little heads up and I'll arrange to drive her down.

There really isn't anything on the other side so it's just a photo-op. We'd turn around & take the next ferry back. Warning though, we had to wait about 45 minutes one time for the return trip.

One of my neighbors stopped by and told me that her brother has an ironman. He is somewhere down in Hampton area. I moved some parts from Joe Darlington up here last fall and met up with him, he was over by Lnagley, would be a craxy small world if it was the same guy. I can't remember his name, I was TAD to a school before moving to Washington. Need to try and track him down.
Billy (yellowgizmo99) maybe? He lives fairly close to base and has an Ironman.
Maybe, did he or does he work for NASA? I seem to remember talking about that for ahile. I delivered a set of 4.56 gears and a third member IIRC.

I at first thought it said brother, Chris if you live in NN and not in the Wythe area of Hampton then there is another Ironman around, my sister lives in Wythe, guy at work has seen one in the Wythe area working on a house ever so often, ask her if they have family in Wythe or if her brother has a house in that area. Oh yea and it was some 4.77's that I got from Joe.
Aw, Man!! I was just down in Virginia Beach two weeks ago for my bi-annual pilgrimage to Sandbridge. Probably won't get down there again until March. But anything is possible so keep me in the loop. :yesgray:
LOL, that was a year ago and I was in the middle of a stressful cross-country move and deployment. Cut me some slack...lol. She definitely said her brother lived in Hampton. She is gonna have him stop by next time he is up here, she actually talked to my wife, not me. Yippee! More folks to talk about the VX obsession. As a matter of fact, it makes 4 years for me on the 26th of Dec. I was looking at pics of when I first got her. If you told me then what it would look like now and the skills I currently have because of that truck, I would have said you were crazy. Of course, if you said I was going to be stuck in Virginia again, I would have said that was crazy too (there, back on topic)Quote:

I'm in Chesapeake, would love to get together. I have an 01 Ironman I just bought on Ebay last month. I have seen a yellow one here in Chesapeake a couple times the past year. I saw a maroon one in Portsmouth last month, but was unable to follow her. I did see a green one at Greenbrier last week. He honked at me at a light. I talked to him just long enough to tell him about the forum! (sorry, I'm not sure of the formal color names) I work in sales and travel around Va Beach, Chesapeake, Norfolk and Portsmouth.

It was on Airline Blvd. Plates said "proton" I believe and a number. I thought proton was yellow? Totally confused me.

I'm pretty booked until after the New Year. Assuming we're all still here and not roaming through a zombie filled wasteland maybe we could plan something for later in January. How about Jan. 25th?
Haha. If that's the case my hours of zombie killing training on Call of Duty wasn't a waste after all. I think the 25th is a Friday... How bout the 26th?

I'm sure they would allow us to congregate for a while there before heading out to whatever destination Y'all want. That way everyone's arrival time can be soft. Arrive sometime between breakfast & lunchtime & then head out to Jamestown (probably the area with the most Kodak moments for VX's).
Works for me, I can be there. Maybe start a new thread under the meets topic for 26 Jan/Williamsburg.
One of my co-workers spotted an Ironman in Williamsburg recently. Is that anyone on here? Looks stock except the ISUZU has been removed from the tailgate like mine.
Y'all can count me out until further notice since the VX is now in the shop. I'll let you know when I'm back on board for a meet.
