Which of the Colorado peeps are up for Argentine Pass in the next couple weeks?
I'm thinking either Sunday July 1st or July 8th, but I could be talked in to either Saturday too.
I have a friend who wants to take his Landcruiser, and a friend who wants to ride with me.

I did it in the past with my stock 4Runner and a friend in his 2000 Grand Cherokee. The VX will have no problems, but the view from the top (on the Continental Divide) is outstanding. There are some alt routes with some technical bits if I recall too if you just want to play a bit.
Great trail, shouldnt take any mods. Stock vehicles will have no issues

Well, since I'm getting robbed of my yearly 4th of July trip, I figure I might as well... I'd be a little bit keener on a Saturday, though... I could really do without the Sunday evening traffic!

Time: meet 9 am at the northwest parking lot at I-70 and Morrison exit (time can be adjusted if we need to)
The views at the top are spectacular, bring a camera. It can be a long trail, depending on traffic, so I suggest bringing water and snacks/lunch. There's a few places where it is strictly single track, and I'm sure that's where we'll meet people going the other way, so we will get to play reverse convoy to the nearest wide spot.
PM me if you're coming and I'll send you my cell # so we can coordinate meeting up.

Either day works for me. What traffic are we concerned about? This would be the weekend after the 4th...I don't think it will be too bad, at least not compared to any other summer traffic.

That was a fun trip, glad we decided to tag along. Nothing really challenging but interesting.
Stupid 4 hrs of rain washed off all the hard earned dirt.
yeah, definitely a fun trip. i'm glad we decided to tag along too. pretty neat driving through the clouds. and of course, Beau Jo's!
I'm glad you guys came with us. It was a good trail for the people with other vehicles to keep up with us on, and everyone had fun. Next time we can pick something a little more technical.
And yes Beau Jo's is always a good end to a trip...great choice :)
We had a great time. Lets plan another trip soon. :yesgray:

After that it was just rain the rest of the way down on on the way home until we got to the city.
