Moab Taxi Cab?
Nice mall crawler (i do like that color on it though). For a quarter of the price you can pick up a far more built/capable used Heep.
That is my favorite color! I think Gil should get you this!
I think I found the only Jeep I might trade the VX for...

I don't own a pick-up; but, this might fit the bill if I needed one. I just wish they would make a shorter wheelbase version with a short-box. The long-box version just ain't doin' it for me and makes it look like a frickin' centipede. Further, the subdued gun-metal blue has to go; give me one painted in Kenworth Truck Bright Lemon Yellow!!!
I do agree with Billy, that the Uni-Mog's are just the thing. I've always been a big fan of the Uni-Mog's. Although, the new Jeep FC would have much better 21st Century creature comforts and gadgets with plenty of push-buttons. Above all, the very best VX replacement vehicle would have been the now decomissioned Hummer HX/H4 (damn recession killed it just before it went into production and I doubt China is ever gonna' build it).
:bgwb:
That Billy would wheel a Mog, just like he wheels a VX...

Nice Jeep C-C...
my wife is car shopping.....so far it's all about the Grand Cherokee.
I think I must agree with her
My wife bought a Wrangler last year, really nice, lifted, rhino lined,$$$ wheels,
I drive it often(saving miles on the VX):yesb:
All in all though, the VX will run circles around it on the road.
Offroad???(flame suit on) HA!:bgwb:
Hope she gets one with a VX-esque hood...:smilewink

Just got back from a drive...my arm is tired from having to wave at every Jeep driver:_wtf::rolleyes:
It will look alot like that too... for a little while, until it gets transformed into something more of a desert racing truck. :bwgy:
I really like alot of what Jeep has come out with in the past couple years. For now I've got more of a crawler: 93 Grand Cherokee, Lifted, Super Swampers, Front bumper+full skid plate, Ramsy Winch, Roof Rack, Lots of Lights, oh... AND A BIG V8! (thats one big advantage we don't have)
i drove a 2012 wrangler 4 door as a rental with 4k miles (now about 5k) on it for the last week and a half - i would take my vx over it any day - kinda cool to take all the doors off though
I drove an old CJ7 10 years ago, and while Just Empty Every Pocket might not *actually* be what Jeep stands for, it was certainly true in my case. Went through 2 transmissions and an engine rebuild in under 2 years. I had to sell it or go broke. To be fair though, it definitely held it's value--I got more for it than I put into it in the end.
I had a YJ and it was horrible in reliablity, comfort, & power. I was very happy when I sold it and moved on to the VX. The wranglers today are much improved on/off road and the new pentastar engine seems to have fixed there one major flaw.
The Compass is my wife's car and it is indeed a "car" with a 4high transfer case. It's been good on reliability, gas mileage (28 MPG), and drives great in the snow. It's fine but I'm hoping she'll want something a little more exciting for her next car... maybe her own Vehicross?? She was pretty impressed after Moab. :bgwo:
What do you think about the jeep truck?

I like it.
I saw one at the dealer all tricked out just like the picture, so I checked it out. It was listed at $50,000+. After I saw that, I slowly crept away.
Peace.
Tom
What they have not told you is that they have a flaw with the cylinder head and its a recall waiting to happen. And for those experiencing the misfires they are currently replacing them with a new flawed head. I work for a Jeep dealer
I dig the utility of the 4 door ones because you can actually carry more than 1 person, but they charge FAR too much for a plastic box :D
