Me Too! Meeting up with skullcap and headed up at 10 AM!
More to follow! -- John
Me three! :-) Joe and I are meeting up in Jax and should leave here about 10am.
ISUUUUUUUUUZOOOOOOOOOO!
And I'm stuck in Jersey, just now heading towards the APT to fly back home...:( :(
Joe and I ran part of Wolf Den and Falls Dam at Uwharrie, and we did pretty well except for a few underbody scrapes here and there. Neither of us sustained any damage, though, so with your lift, I think you'd have been just fine out there.
Just got in and what a trip! Need more skid plates!;Do;
Stay tuned for plenty of photos, vidcaps and maybe even the Dragon "KLONK!" video. LOL!
Unfortunately, due to some rain encoutered between here and there, most of my Uwharrie "make-up" washed off. Oh well, at least I've got pics!;pg;
Don't know if you saw that lifted Ford we passed right about as we crossed into FL, but at least your left front corner didn't end up like that left front corner.
Yep, trip ended like it began eh? Still got enough mud on there to make me happy. :-)
We want pictures!!!:mad: :mad:
How long a man must wait for that????;Db; ;Db;
Maybe if I'll say pleeeeeeeeeeese?????:eek:
LOL! Let me know when you'll be back in town and maybe we can hook up for dinner and I'll bring you a CD. Including some entertaining footage John shot of David and I tackling a particulary challenging trail with our ABS still powered. SLIDE SLIDE SKID SLIIIIIDE THUNK!
Joe's "sliiiide thunk" shot.
Trust us when we say, it wasn't nearly as easy as the 2-dimensional photo suggests.
Cool stuff!!!
Unfortunately, work load requires me to up here for additional 2 weeks. seems like I might have to buy a warm coat after all;) ;Dy; ;Dy;
;Dp; Hit the little "gallery" button below for more Uwharrie shots on Page 2 & 3
Ya know, the pics are great but pics don't do it justice and it looks like you could go around the hole in the pictures, which you couldn't.
Looks like you guys had a great time :)
Nice pics.
We certainly did, and considering Joe and I ran pretty much stock (no lift, no skidplates), we did very well in some challenging terrain. Joe even did it on the stock Duelers and seemed to do just fine. Hopefully someone has pics of some of the harder stuff. Johnnyapollo and Joe may be posting some, since they were taking pics of mine from behind when we did the run. I think our VXs earned some respect that day.
Got most all of the photos up in the gallery. When I get the video clip on my web page I'll post a link. Enjoy!
Nice pics! Thanks for the ones you e-mailed me too. I only have 5 or 6 pics on a disposable camera, but I'll post them soon. I'll try to let you know soon regarding the Ft. Meade meets.
Here's some more pics:

Okay, I finally got the video clip up from Uwharrie. If you were there, you know what this is. If not, you'll first see Heraclid's Astral followed by a Rodeo Sport then my Dragon as we tackle a slippery-nasty deep hole. Heraclid nailed the approach just perfect while I went a tad much closer to the hole than gravity cared to allow. Plus I didn't know at the time about the handy "ABS fuse pull" trick! In any case, this is a large .avi file, about 60MB, so don't waste your time if you're on a slow connection: Uwharrie Video
