What do you guys think of this body kit?

My opinion is; fugly
Ewwww. Leave the wide body kits for old Nissans...
Mated their VX with a newer VW Bug.
If you're strictly a four-wheeler, I'm guessing you'll hate it.
If, OTOH, you see the VX as a performance vehicle, then it might be more to your liking. I sorta like it. There's a pic on this forum of a VX in a Vegas show with a similar (if not same) kit. I didn't like it as much then.
I'm thinking this has a better front bumper. Better wheels too. (The other pic I'm thinking of is in the wheel thread IIRC.)
Interesting you'd find this on a purely Japanese website! LOL I wonder how many nickels they're bidding.
Me no likey... its like fender flares for fender flares. A redundant redundancy.
Thats the Moon Craft (kit) for those that are new or don't remember... It's hard to tell if that is the actual Moon Craft that is in the link below... I didn't think they actually made a kit out of it...
Google Translated Japanese Site...
totally ricer glueing or bolting on cheap plastic after market and poorly made stuff just to do it. All the rage in Asia
OMG, my eyes!!!
Seriously - that's a big fat fail in my opinion. If our VX's front end remind people of some sort of snake, this makes it look like a bloated cobra that just swallowed a hamster...
No thanks.
@ 1 yen I am going to buy it...
If they are going to spend money and time on body pannels they should come up with a new rear door that has a large window so you can see out and re position the spare tire - To me that is the only major flaw with the vehicross. Oh and the window problem, and the cd player, and oh the dancing fuel gauge. But other than that .... I would not trade my vehicross for most new cars out today, I have had it 10 years and its a keeper - besides the wife could not break it - could not say that about the land rover she drove for 5 years !!
I think the factory cladding looks much better. This looks more like it's wearing water wings or sitting in an inflatable life raft.
No bueno on the body kit, but the hood scoop is one of the nicer ones I've seen on a VX (at least from the front view), but I'm not a scoop fan unless it is functional.
It's bizzare to me all the body kits available in Japan. They only produced 1,000 vehicles over there, how could they expect to recoup the initial costs for molds?
I do think it would be great to do a group buy with the Japanese company that sells the faux skid plates, etc. It seems to me that if they have a supply on hand, they would want to sell them, rather than just throw them in the landfill. Over there the VX is a 15 year old vehicle, so between the small # of vehicles still on the road, coupled with the smaller budgets of a used car owner, how many accessories would they still expect to sell?
This body kit makes the VX look too wide, not that pleased with the way it looks
What is the web sit for the bodykit
Perhaps no one has initiated contacting them. Sounds like a good idea on you're part. I'm still looking for mine and very new to the VX but I am in to do a group buy if it is functional and/or really helps aesthetically. No on the kit though, I need mine to go off road. I do like the skid plate on the front bumper and rear too.
I really don't think these were ever for sale, but there have been attempts to imitate. Though, i could be wrong. This is what it looked like....

Since my wheels stick out a little bit, and i don't want to buy skinnier tyres, here's a good option, these flares match the VX perfectly (IMO) and they're available in Fiberglass or Carbon Fiber, they're flexible and mold to the arch:

the seller sent me some photos:

and here's a funny one i took today with my phone, yes, i brake for... Kangaroos!

and since we are talking about mods, has anyone seen this VX emblem before? Would look good on the rear:

I've thought about fender flares because my tires stick out from the wheel wells way too much. With the ones you found, I think the exposed bolts might look funny because we have the bolts on the cladding. Seems redundant.
Re: fender flares
In my experience with universal parts, they are always universal until you try to fit them to your vehicle. Apparently, you always end up owning the one car in the world that isn't universal. :p
Don't know how many times I tried this with the VX and ended up throwing out the item cause it actually didn't fit for crap.
The "mooncraft VX" was of Japan origin, those pics are hosted on a Russian site.
Here's what I found to be interesting...:_wrench:

The opposite of the upper BJ flip...the lower BJ is on TOP of the lower control arm.
IMHO universal fit means it is actually universal misfit. When you see people offering universal trunk striping for a VX or universal seat covers that need the headrest to be removed but the VX head rests are not removable you really see that these cruddy manufacturers will say anything to sell you thier item with the hope you wont want to go through the hassle of returning.
Anyone remember the univrsal Turbo that would fit the VX. Tons of modifications and purcase of other parts necesary.
