I know that PK, Don Moore & I are new Grandfathers & that Cobrajet is about to be.
I'd be interested to know how many Grandparents are in the VX fam (makes a nice thread to make announcements too).

I might not respond to this poll, because I feel answers B and C may have been created with me in mind (shallow gene pool or unknown). Besides according to my parents my brother was an only child.
I'll plead the 5th (my right to have no response to that).
I guess the poll was kinda one sided in my favor. Sorry 'bout that:flower:
'Cept for that & the spelling error ... not bad for a noob.
Hang in there Tom.
This thread will last forever.
Being a Pa is way better than being a parent.
All the fun and none of the responsibilities. :bwgy::smilewink:bgwo:
If this works, it is -
Me - the good looking one
Zara - 1st grandchild, 4 1/2 year old teenager.
Sebastian - 2nd Grandchild, 1 day old in photo, now 3 months.
Well, it sorta worked -
Damn confusers - Mr Gates has got a lot to answer for.
PK

Denva Kathleen was 9 pounds 5 1/2 oz, 21 3/4 inches, and perfect!!
My grandson was born in 1998, so I'm really an "old" Grandpa, too!

Just as an added thought "How many grandkids" I am up to 8????? :)

Grand dads rock. Welcome to our exclusive little club nemo.
My granddaughter is a real sight right now. She had a head on colision with a tree whilst sledding last Saturday. Some pretty good abrasions on her face & her left eye is swollen shut. She's been a real trooper tho & is doing fine.
Funny thing about kids (Grand or not) they have a real nack for taking some pretty good bangs and bumps. Then they heal up really fast - wish I could....:)
I think the first ones we worry about more becasue we don't know how well they are put together, then after a few we come to realize with all the knocks and falls they will make it through it all.
Ed
Well, when her father was a kid, he was always getting banged up. We were ready for her to follow in his footsteps. On his 4th birthday, he came downstairs & said "I'm 4 years old, I can do dangerous things now".
Just became a dad October 1st, 2009. So... No Grandpa yet... but I figure 25 years or so 'maybe' :D

In Kauai a couple weeks ago :D
AAAWWW!!! Too cute (the baby of course - we'll assume that she resembles Mom ... not Richie).:)
Shamelessly taking the opportunity to show a cupla pix of the grandkids at Halloween.
Way cute Tom! Would that be Isabell...she's precious! Ya done good!
Evora as skeleton
Isabell as Gothic Princess
& yes, they are both precious (from their paternal grandfather side of course)
I just remembered, I used to have 2 grandfathers, well I guess I still do, just have to go to the grave yard to visit them...
Anyhoo, since I'm a member in good standing, can my grandfathers be grandfathered in to this club?...
OH, & lest I forget, cute yunguns Tom & Ritchie...:yesgray:
Thanks for the reminder, Tom. I was just in Atlanta for Denva's "first birthday", but it was an early party since I couldn't make it on her actual birthday. She's taking a few steps already. Loves to be on her feet. Big girl!

Looks like Denva made out like a bandit on her birthday.
Next time you take a picture of your cute granddaughter though, leave them ugly toes outta the pic:)
I'm sorry, but does anyone other-n-me see an Entwistillian resemblance here...

The youngsters ribcage appears to have a case of the "droopsies", but other'n that, spot on...
And emphatically YES!...I did get to see the Who (sans Moon) in about 1981 or 2...:yesgray:
I have no response to that.
Now come on youse guys and gals - someone else has gotta be joining this club soon.
Perhaps we should change the name to "Grandfather and Grandmother clause" and seen how many own up.
By the way, I just made it to number 4.
Alexander James K , born 22nd July to my son Sean and his lovely wife Sarah.

We're content to hold at 2 for now.:)
