It gives everyone the ability to see where each other is located.. Of course there are those that believe it's giving up too much info. That's why it can be a vague location rather than exact... I hope to see it filled up someday. Especially, with those outside the US..

Here's how I figured it. Texas has 9 showing, but in the last few months I've noticed 12 VX Texans who made multiple posts. They just haven't put their home base on the map for whatever reason.

I did a search of how many VXs we have in Texas. There are 182 members from great state.
We always have about 20%-25% of the VXs that go to Moab for ZuZu are from Texas. That's only 4 or 5 vehicles. Now, if we could only get a few more of the 182 down to Moab.
