Hard to believe...

...its already August and I just flipped my VX calander to a certain stunning Firefox for the new month.

That said, let this be the start of the VehiCROSS 2008 calendar thread. So start posting some pics! Lets get a nice pool of shots together early so we can have a lot to choose from. Hopefully we can get the calendar printed up by November! And remember, please retain your high resolution originals!

I'll go first with my two entries:

I love this one because it reminds me of that moment, just as I remember it, and its a great shot showing off the VX flex.

Yeah, that would be pretty fun to photochop!

I think I have mastered keeping the canoe up top. Its a little nerve wracking at first, but once you get it right you can go 75mph with no problem.

Its actually just hanging down over the wheel, it isn't tangled in there or anything. :)

Hey guys dont do the calender yet, i have alot of pic's and 1 is a money shot of the VX in the rockies stasrting tt get dark so it has all the lights on and has huge rocks and trees in the back of it. it was taken in Independance Pass heading towerds Aspin, Calorado. Also a few taking 10,000 feet above sea level and some in Amadello taxes on Palo Duro Canyon. it awsome.

Hi Bart!

Sorry, I've been away from the forum for a couple of weeks...

I was using my Nikon D200 with an 18-200 zoom all during that trip. From the looks of that image, I probably had the zoom all the way back at the 18mm mark to get the 'extended sky' effect.

Cover shot? Anyone? Bueller? Bueller?!?

not sure who is doing the calendar this year.. but so we can get it moving along why dont we start e-mailing entries to vxcalendar@hotmail.com please e-mail the high res shots so we have them before the voting! this way theres no last minute problems finding the originals... lets say tentatively that entries should be submitted by Nov 3.. that way we can set up voting and have the calendars ready to go in time to get them as christmas gifts!

so remember... email your high res. entries to vxcalendar@hotmail.com

please try to include photo credit too just in case

Good idea man! I was actually just thinking about this the other day. I don't mind compiling it in Cafe Press again. So unless someone else wants to take the ball and run with it, I will just assume its me again.

Etl, do you have a way to host images or should I set up a little voting website again? I am game for whatever.

ALSO, I was thinking maybe Moncha would like to get involved and add the calendar to his product line up. This way, he could charge, say $5 over the stock price to further help him fund the site/server.

bart i was just going to host on webshots, its easy to use and i can set it up so that any time i add a new picture file to the folder it automatically uploads it to the site.. would be pretty easy for me to do
