Moab's pretty fun.

Hey Kids!

The dogs and I made it safely to Moab today. I've already run into a few other VXers, but the real fun won't begin until tomorrow.

In the meantime, here are a few shots taken at Arches National Monument today:

I'm definitely keeping all of the high-resolution files! I'm still amazed at how pretty everything is around here.

You know what nobody tells you about the desert, though?

It's HOT out here! REALLY hot. My Ebony VX really sizzles in this sun. I can't touch the exterior after it's been in the sun for a few minutes.

It's also dry. My eyes are always bloodshot, and my skin is flaking off.

Why doesn't anyone mention that deserts are hot and dry?!?

CO Convoy just pulled into town!

Sorry guys, but I deleted all the PM's that had phone numbers in them once I saved them to my PowerBook. The catch?

I LEFT MY POWERBOOK IN COLORADO! Fizzzuck! So I'm using my work laptop right now.

Point of me tellin you this?... I promised to call you all once we rolled into town. Well, we're here.

Ldub - your bad side has been immortalized. :p 14 VX's in a row - Yal was running around Moab in her VX without us though. So there were at least 15 VX's in Moab this morning!! I had to drive home today so these are all the pics I will have to post. The pics should only get better from here...

You should have seen the way people were staring at this huge collection of VXs. It was as if they'd never seen 14 VXs in one place before.

John, we have people here in Moab from all over...even foreign countries like Canada and Texas! I can't believe the turnout...Chicago, and Colorado, and Reno and Vegas and Fargo and jeez, everywhere. Seattle, even. (Baxman showed up!)

But we could only get TWO PEOPLE to show up for our Seattle meet? That's sad. Next time we'd beter at least double that. (That would be four, for those counting.)

Anyway, I really enjoyed meeting everyone at the Moab gathering. I could definitely see doing this again next year...maybe without the dogs, though, huh?
