New VX emblems
After looking at the VX emblems that are for sale on the net. I decided to make some VX emblems to replace the Isuzu one in the grill.

They are 1/8 th polished aluminium. I wanted a different font that had a alittle asian brush stroke style and this is what I came up with. I also beveled the edges at different angles. I haven't decided. But, I'm thinking about making a backing to mount them on that fits into the grill insert rather than just mounting them in there direct. After that, i'll be ready to powder coat them.

Looks great! Nice design.

Very Nice Design :thumbup::thumbup:

Are you looking to produce these for sale? I'm in the market for a replacement for the ISUZU grill badge.

Thanks everyone, I too thought they looked nice, hehe.
Well, I could make them if anyone wants them. Let me figure out the mounting and get some pictures up of what i'm thinking of and we can go from there. I want it to look like it would be factory.
After thinking about it . The first one I'm going to do will be backlit with white leds. Hopefully it will be done tomarrow.

Ok, I'm in the final stretch now.
I refinished the grill and gave the fangs a polish. Now since the grill isn't totally dry I just placed the VX emblem in so you can see what it looks like.

I have figured out how to back light the emblem. But it will take me alittle longer to finish that part. So bare with me.
Ok, after looking at this grill I decided not going to back light these. I'll do that on the 99 VX.
So, if you want any emblems, let me know.
They are $20.00 + shipping and will be backed with 3M trim tape.

I'm in.
No backlights for me though. (Nothing personal...) ;)

Well. after thinking about it I decided to make the grill for my 01 back lit.
So, finished the emblem backing so the light will shine thru, wet sanded the grill on last coat of black and now as soon as I get the leds it can all go together.
If anyone wants to do this.
I'll put detailed instructions on how to make it back lit and don't worry, it is easy and still looks like it was factory.
So, as it's finished. I'll post the pictures. :bwgy:
