I should be focusing on the Dems, because they have been in power the last 7 years and have had control of the House and Senate and got us into this mess. Oh wait no, that's not true, they have had only partial control since last election when America handed the GOP their walking papers and voted out every Republican that could be voted out. Not that I pay attention to polls, but this new congress that was voted in, has the lowest approval rateing ever……I think its like 18%. No, don’t focus on the democrats 8 yrs prior to the bush administration. Or the 5 or 6 times there was information on bin laden, and his whereabouts, and nothing was done. Yes, its true that the scale was tipped, but what good has come from it. The democratic voter was hoodwinked into thinking there would be all these changes, that they were going to clean up this “mess”, when all they have done is delay things, and make it harder to WIN this war. This congress is more concerned about witch hunts, and earmarks.

(here is where you say you were wrong, like you said you weren’t afraid to do, when you were…..) Bush “vowed” to veto any legislation THAT HAD A TIME TABLE FOR TROOP WITHDRAWAL!!! So, what do the democrats decide to do? They put a timetable for troop withdrawal, not once, not twice, but three times, before they understood. I wont go into details on why telling our enemy when we are leaving is a bad idea.
Comparing the "War on Terrorism" to World War II is an interesting angle though. Even Bush said "this is a new kind of war", problem is, He is fighting it
in an old kind of way. Terrorists can be anywhere, they are not a country. They could be a few guys living in New Jersey. So how does invading Iraq stop those guys from bombing a subway? It doesn't!
My obvious comparison to WW2 was that there was mass genocide going on, a threat of weapons that could be used against us,(U.S.A.) and or our allies, and the death toll rose at a much faster rate, than it has in this war. Not saying that’s a good thing, I’m just saying that there wasn’t a call to withdraw troops then, or saying that the war is lost, and our troops are murderers and rapist. We supported our troops, and they made us proud, as our troops make me proud now. If Bush was fighting this war in an “old kind of way” there would be a lot more bombs being dropped, in a lot more places. Instead, we are trying to be a bit more “selective” on who we send to see Allah, and the virgins.

I find it funny that Americans are pretty much all immigrants but some Americans have such disdain for immigrants that don't share the same language or skin color or financial means.It is like the spoiled child on the playground who thinks he owns the slide because he was the first one to touch it. Again, I have to explain MYSELF, I don’t have a problem with LEGAL immigration. We have laws, and procedures for becoming a U.S. citizen. And that system has its flaws too, but it has worked for years. But to just automatically say to millions of illegals, that you are now legal, that just cant happen, or shouldn’t happen. Many immigrants have gone thru our process, and worked hard to become productive appreciative Americans, not just to come over, and be an addition to our welfare system, and a burden to our health care. Let alone, changing our national language from English to Spanish…..after all, its too much to ask them to come here legally, let alone to ask them to learn English.
Don't think my disdain is just aimed at the republicans. I am mad at the Democrats for not calling out the republicans more for running this country so stupidly, without forethought, or any regard for the future of people at home and abroad.
