I'll agree with everyone above. This was my first ZuZoo, but it certainly won't be my last. Everyone who takes the time out of their busy lives to put this thing together should be Sainted. Those guys and gals work hard so the rest of us can show up and have fun.
It was great to meet everyone and put names to faces. Because of the VX I felt like I knew everyone (at least a little) already, so it wasn't like making new friends, but getting reaquainted with old ones.
Vlad, excellent job on the video. When I heard the song I just about cried laughing.
I was there at Lion's Back with biju, getting the ML up and down. I have to say that that was quite an experience. My knees gave out a couple of times and I just had to sit down. I have no idea how Tone stayed so calm in the drivers seat. I've got a lot of pictures, and some video, of the event that I need to post.
Should we start a ZuZoo IX gallery so everyone can post pictures to it?

BTW, thanks for the use of the air/impact to get that nut off the output shaft on my tcase. Tia's dad, Steve, was who did that with ya.. but I wanted to thank you again.
Always glad to help out wherever I can...it's a karma thing, Steve helped me with my skid plate the previous evening. I always like to keep my "karma account" as flush as possible...life just goes better for me that way. :yeso:

A little under a minute into that video, we see Billy hop on a rocker to provide a little ballast, and then there are a coupla guys hanging from a roof rail -- you all need to exercise less and start lifting more pizza and beer to make better ballast! :p

That was me (again :deady: )and Jack hanging on (and getting a nice lift) to the rear of Don's VX. That was a VERY tippy line! As a matter of fact I opted to drop of the big ledge (of course I have a bit of lift) rather than get that tippy!

Everyone was great and the new faces became old friends in a matter of minutes. Kudos to all the first timers who took the chance and are now much better equipped and confident to go offroad (all thanks to Todd for his encouragement and experience that made it happen with no damage). And my personal thanks to Mark and Biju who made Lion's Back a reality for me, even if they kept telling me I shouldn't be doing it! i just wanted to put out a big huge thank you to everyone who helped me out in moab whether it be on the trail, with my car, or with financial matters. thanks especially to don, biju, and larry for hanging out with me and helping me out because i was just by myself.

They would show up for you as they are cached on your machine. Yahoo does not foster hot linking/img tags from those directories.Quote:

Great pictures everyone. I still have tones of tape to edit. Something like 3 hours of action, but I have my last final on Saturday, so I'll play with editing later. I will also have a problem with storage, I think. The 8 minutes of tape I edited so far "weighs" over 1GB... If someone has a storage solution for me, don't hesitate to shout my way...

Wow! You all rawk! I am utterly humbled by the quality of photos here. I have only a day's worth of pix, and most of those aren't any where near as fantastic as these. I am also having trouble sorting out graphix programs in order to size the pix so they'll post here. There's a reason I went into screenwriting as opposed to cinematography. BUT...
I do want to send out a heartfelt THANK YOU! to all those great VX'rs I met at Moab, as well as to Locomigo and the rest of the Zu Zoo staff and all the others who drove their Isuzu's (and Benzes and Jeeps and Dodges) on the trails with me. It was an awesome trip, even tho I had to cut it short for family reasons. As my brother the Mad Irishman said, as we were returning to town after the VX only run: "Weasel, this is your new fraternity!"

I admit, a few of them have me thinkng about the potential damage that could occur when someone bites off more than they can chew.
But I am in awe and a lil' jealous...

thats why i love the cladding! just a few days ago i was parallel parking when i heard the worst sound ever (CRUNCH) i got out and realized there was a tree stump that had conviently hidden itself under my windows... tore the hell out of the stump and left a very small scratch on the cladding that my friend claims im making up because he doesnt see it.. :)

So, on the Moab Zu front, tonight I just took a look back at the albums I have in iPhoto of ZuZoo - man... chills I tell ya, CHILLS!
I heard last year that the Portal Campground was closing down? (anybody else hear that rumor last year?) anyways - I just pinged them and Don the manager reaffirmed they're open for business as usual. I might tent it this year instead of the hotel route. We'll see...
Wonder if we'll get a ZuZoo countdown module on the homepage?

Portal is a nice campground to stay at if it is still open. Very friendly people. Last year the manager told us it was being 'dozed to make way for a class A motor home park...so make sure they still have tent sites. ZuZoo is going to probably be HQ'd at the Archview camp site.
I won't be there this year (Hawaii Ironman is hopefully calling my name) but I've stayed informed. Next year I'll be back!
Glad this post is still inspiring people....hopefully some new VXers will get to experience it. But plan on staying for more than just the VX run...after experiencing it you WILL want to stay for more!
