So, whats the official date and place?
I went to Orlando today to find a place to meet. There is a T.G.I. Fridays on International Drive with a large parking lot in back. It is easy to get to. Take I4 to the Sand Lake Rd exit and head east and then turn south on Iternational Drive. The TGIF is on the left at 8955.
So now who can make it at 11:00 am on March 23? Figure we will meet in the parking and scope out each others rides and then have lunch. That will give some flexibility for those of you coming a longer distance. This location should be about a hour from Tampa, Melbourne and Daytona.
Only have two confirmed for a meet at TGIF on 8955 International Drive in Orlando, this Saturday at 11:00 am. Where are the other 13 Florida VX's that have been on this thread?
Mike
Mike..
I am in for Saturday.. please let me know if we are a go or you end up with no quorum.
I will drive from St. Pete....
Thanks..
Daniel-
I'm confirmed to be there!
cant saturday, but yes on sunday the 24th for me.
Yea! We got four VX's so the meet is on. Coastie, sorry you won't be able make it. I was looking forward to meeting you, maybe we can have an off road meet. I would look forward to getting my garage queen dirty.
I don't know how to send a PM to all of the VX's in Florida, maybe someone knows how to, and will let others know about the meet.
Mike
Garage queen, lol  . Yeah it sucks. I have my baby daughter with me all day cuz my wife works saturday. And my parents will be out of town. Maybe I can see if I can ask my sis-in-law if she would like to baby watch her for a few hours. But no guarantees. I'll get back with ya guys later this evening with a concrete answer. My parents and brother live just 6 miles from that area, so I'll see if one of them can watch my baby I'll be able to make it with no problem but if not I can't take the drive from New Smyrna Beach to there with a baby for a few hours, it would be a tough one to pull.
I can't make this time. Work all day. I live abou t20 minutes north in Lake Mary. If you guys are out running around I know of some sand pits built for atv's and jeeps that I've driven through before. Might be fun. Sorry! Maybe someone wants to come up and check mine out? It's for sale!
It looks like four or five VX's right now. Let's hope we got some last minute VX's show up. I am happy as long as someone else shows up. I always like looking at mine, but it would be more fun to scope out another ride.
Mike
Actually this will be the first time I've ever seen another VX other than mine...I take that back! I saw one back in 99 or 00 on the road back when they were new.It was a proton.
Well...In mid detailing of the V a Random downpour!!!
I'll be there tomorrow, but you guys wont get to see Alice in all her polished glory.
sorry will not be able to make it have a wedding maybe next time.
I'm heading out in about an hour! See you guys soon & be safe on the road!
Sorry you couldent make it Brian & to the others, next time for sure.
Very nice day for a drive. Started out a little after 7 am this morning and am home right at 7 pm tonight. Drove to Orlando and met 4 other VX owners and was able to see another Silver (Astrial) and two more of the White (Ironman) models. Met some very friendly gentlemen and had a good lunch. Hope to be able to attend the next meeting and maybe encourage a few more of the Florida owners to make the trip. I am simply awful with names so I won't even try to mention the attendees. Looking forward to the next meeting.
Rod

Had a great time with you guys yesterday. This was my first meet and first time next to another VX/s in a parking lot. Was fun, we deff. need to make another meet sooner then later. Ocala does sound like a great place for next time. And hopefully more FL VX's or even some other states can join us next time.
It definitely was a great meet. Rod L and I came in from the south east and the rest from the north and west and got to spend hours in traffic. Next time we are going to find a place out in the middle of nowhere like the Ocala National Forest. Strange event of the day: one of our group was passed by an Ironman and figured he would be at the meet. Nope! I guess it was just a random VX drive by. It was interesting to see how diferent each VX was. They were all 1999's with Hcloud13 the most stock and Coastie's the most radical.
Mike
It was great to meet and chat with all the guys in te group..!!
I really had a great time meeting and talking to all of you.. just seeing all this VXs in the parking lot was wild.. [ OK.. even if I DIDN'T have mine!] :bgwb:
Ocala seems to be the agreed upon next destination for the Florida meet, We are hoping sooner rather than later.. Hopefully more people will come and join!
Thanks Mike for putting together, the First one of the series....and to Doug, Rod, Coastie and his Bro! for being there.. [Next time I will bring the VX and the BBQ set!]
Mike, Rod, Doug and Coastie...

Hope you get to see it next time!!
WOW! I reeeeeely like the front!
We can find one and put it on the Hearse!!! :)
That would make it... Unique!!
No?
That looks great! If you go offroad in the Ocala National Forest you will appreciate the front end protection. Can't wait to see it in person, maybe driving it to Moab.
Mike
For sure Sir!
Looking forward to make that happen...
We should see if anyone from Florida is going or from Texas.. than we can convoy there as well!
Just a heads up RE- warning....ITS A BRUSH GUARD !!!
I drove Moab first year with it on..its fine on easy stuff.
Second year I took it off...cause I was doing "gnarly'er" trails...
...and it can flex a bit if you are doing lots of Bumpity Bump stuff.
Third year onwards... I didnt even take it...I would of DESTROYED IT!
Its NOT meant for bashing into rocks etc...
...but its a master of deflecting skateboarders and cyclists!
PLUS....it looks REALLY good on your ride....
...love the 'match' to the wheels and roof rails.
Jo
Very eye catching.
Thanks for the warning!
If Mike [Makocross] and I end up going to Moab.. [We are looking into it] I will take it this year.. I don't think I will be doing a lot of Black Diamond trails.. If you know what I mean.....
I can probably be riding up front and clearing the road of skaters and cyclist tho..!! :bgwb:
No problem... kind'a like we discussed when we talked about you buying it.
Good thing is..it comes on & off very easily....
...so if you get tempted by harder stuff...No problem !
Hope you guys DO make it....
Are you going to lift at all before...or why not bring springs
to Moab and do a STOOP lift!
Jo
Got a set of OME's 912 and 4 Rancho 9000XL...[No remote ]
I was going to bring them tomorrow to the Powdercoat man.... [Red would look nice.. don't ya think?]
I can bring it to Moab but don't want to bug anyone.. including You.. :bgwb:
I am thinking if the 912's will be too much lift.... I think the 913 are smaller of the two... and then how much cranking on the front??
Maybe I should bring the setup there...
Hey guys,
so when about is the next meet? I know Ocala was tossed around.
I was going to go to the Ocala Nat Forrest and check it out, but just haven't had the time yet. VX man and I are trying to get to Moab so the May weekends during that time would be out for us. I think we should go for a picnic or tailgate event as there are few places to eat. Hcloud13 this next question is for you, would you take your VX on a dirt road? There is a picnic area a couple of miles down a dirt/sand road. Hcloud13's VX is pristine. It is so clean at the Orlando meet he not only cleaned his VX but mine and some of the others. So let's try to find a place compatable with everyone. I haven't been to Juniper Springs state park to check it out but I am sure it is paved and is a possibility. RodL is leaving Florida at the end of may so try to do this before then.
Mike
Just changed the oil so I'm good for another road trip. Got my Ultra Gauge and the roof racks off. Want a list of all the cleaning products Hcloud13 uses so I can make mine shine too. (after the dirt road.)
