Hey, thanks Tom! I knew I saw this somewhere here in this man-cave of knowledge. Just couldn't find my way back to it. It's in My Favs now.
No problem. It was on the top of the How 2 list on the home page (I didn't even need to use the search function:))
I'll make it official and do an entry like everyone.
Bought mine in August 2008 with 68,000 miles on her. Now she has 83,000 miles on her. As I understand it there were only 400 of the Ironman Edition delivered to the U.S. Wonder how many are left?? Here's a before and after pic of my baby.

I'm still considering doing a 3 inch body lift.
Maddawg, looks great in both pictures. Where was the first picture taken?
Started in Vegas, as an executive head office ride, then was sold internally by Isuzu to a dealer in Denver, then I found it in New York, it's in Saskatchewan now, wonder how far North she'll end up? 140k, runs strong, looks great, riding on 18's but got big lug mudders for the fun days! All stock, perfect, as Isuzu intended!

Next week will do Rancho 9000 Adjustable Shocks, Idler Pulley, Belt Tensioner, and New Serpentine Belt.

Hello! Basically have liked the Vehicross for quite a long time and finally pulled the trigger earlier this year! She runs strong for 173,00 miles, rocksliders, tow hitch w/Super Bumper, have been driving her everyday now and love it!!
Im a recent VX Ironman owner. I purchased at 99 about a month ago.
I have a question. I went thru the glove box and found all the original paperwork that comes with a new one. One piece talks about a "Smartpark 2000". I did a search but did not come up with anything. Does anyone know what the Smartpark 2000 is? Thanks.
Congrats fellow 99er. Looks like a previous owner installed one of those parking assist systems: http://www.opticplanet.com/contents/...aut20bacs.html
Hey guys,
I just got my Ironman like a month ago. I love it. 1999, 152k becoming an addiction. Let me know if there is any other vx's in the Dallas area. http://www.vehicross.info/gallery/da...72844614_n.jpghttp://www.vehicross.info/gallery/da...82969226_n.jpghttp://www.vehicross.info/gallery/da...70431099_n.jpghttp://www.vehicross.info/gallery/da...71939360_n.jpghttp://www.vehicross.info/gallery/da...014188_iOS.jpg
Wow! A '99 Ironman with all its original badging. Bought my '99 Ironman new from a Dallas dealership in '99. However, had decided to remove the "Ironman" off the hood and "Isuzu" off the back door before making the purchase. Took 'em off the day after purchase. No regrets. Still like how it looks without those badges, but seeing yours with its badging looks better now than in 1999. Welcome aboard.
It looks like some were removed. I am thinking on repaint the hood and have the iroman redone too.
What does the toggle switch below the gear shift control?
That's a switch to turn off the TOD, Basically I have the option to get 2WD or 4WD at the touch of a button. It saves me a bunch of gas and it's easier to maneuver in dry asphalt. I only turn it on when is raining, snowing, etc...
My 1999 just turned 150K on Christmas day!

My 99 Ironman just hit 82k miles
Just checking in, purchased my 1999 Ironman yesterday and found it contains the original window sticker/destination checklist at 6mi/delivery manifest from Japan to San Diego to Eugene, OR/all work orders completed at the dealership/etc. It seems to have sat at the dealership in Eugene for just over two years before it was purchased, (have original trip permit as well), with 429mi on it in March of 2002. Looks to be in nearly pristine condition and all original with over $1000 in options and final dealer price in 1999 of $30,682 and shipping/handling of 695.00. I had no idea this was such a rare vehicle when I bought it off Craigslist here in Salem, OR from the original owners son. Will post pictures soon when I have the capability. Anything I need to know and what I can do with it to make it even more awesome would be helpful, thanks. The only thing that doesn't seem to work is the 6-disc Isuzu CD changer, (a few cd's seem to be stuck together in it).
Did u ever get that 6 disc changer to work?
