Forgive my STUPIDITY Tony....Where the hell is Bear Mountain? (gotta be one of those VT things..."brain fart" or maybe I'm just getting old and losing it). I have been around New England most of my life but just can't place Bear Mountain.
I am up for a VX meet anywhere within NE...let me know

Hey John Bear Mountain is in upstate New York. I can see why you might wonder where in New England it is cuz I live in Rhode Island but I am originally from the Bronx. I use to go camping there alot growing up.
DUUUUHHHH....LOL... I just picked up on that Tony...that post was started a while ago. But still a good idea? Yea, THAT Bear Mountain. If I remember right I was there a few times as a kid (but I'm dating myself here). Still be up for a meet there if anyone is interested.

That sounds good to me. Since it will be close to my boys birthday it would be nice to get himstarted in enjoying the outdoors.

ALL YOU NEW ENGLAND, UPSTATE NY AND YES, EVEN THE BOYS FROM JERSEY....
Let's try for a meet in the GREEN MOUNTAIN STATE (Manchester) for mid June of this year. I'll plan some activities like a little hill climb up Equinox Mountain, maybe a little off-road excusion through Green Mountain National Forest...just to keep things interesting.
I think maybe the V.O.R.C. will sponsor it...how's that Tony? (Since we are the local reps for this little club).
