That's a greayt idea! I've been using a bolt with a wing nut for my quick release seat option. I'll be switching over tomorrow!

I used the removable pin tip about a year ago, when I first saw it.
The pins are a perfect dia. easy to use, I might silacone the bushings in to keep them in place, but with two kids, I never get to take it out :o
I am about to do this quick mod to my VX and had a question.
Is there any concern about lack of strength when swapping these pins?
Those pins should be plenty strong. Most of the strength (in case of an accident) comes from the rear latch anyway. The front is primarily for stabalization & the hinge.
Since the quick-pins are the same diameter as the OEM pins, there shouldn't be any loss of strength. :) But yeah, I have had those pins in there for more than 3 years with no issue.
