Thought it would be good to add the original thread on this from a few years back. Take note, the old site is not live anymore, but I do have all the info saved on a spreadsheet on my computer somewhere. I can upload it to Google Drive so everyone can update their info and add to it. I've got a notebook somewhere where I was keeping track of VX's from Ebay, Autotrader and Craigslist... Hope I can find it.

So many people have mentioned the asterix that needs to be attached to mileage when you up your tire size. Has anyone figured out how to adjust the speedometer since it is off after a tire upgrade too? The difference between actual speed and speedometer speed increases exponentially. The faster you go the bigger the gap. When my speedo says 35mph I'm really doing 41mph and when the speedo says I'm going 70mph I am actually going 82mph.
Thoughts/Suggestions?

I haven't found a way to adjust the speedometer, but they are electronic and I have seen some gizmos that are supposed to fit in line between the sending unit and the speedo. You are supposed to be able to adjust it for tire size so that might be a solution.
As for me; I just use a ScanGaugeII. Mine is mounted above me rear view mirror so it is easy to see. As a matter of fact I have gotten so used to looking up there to read my speed that I now look above the mirror to check my speed when I am in any other car (at which point I quickly realize that I'm not in the VX and then look at the actual speedo). The ScanGauge speedo can be adjusted for tire size and shows all kinds of other helpful information at the same time.
