I actually bought one for mine...but need to get the hitch installed first...but mine won't look as good, think it's goin' look goofy stickin' out all by itself.....at least he has that big spare tire stickin' back (hmmm, reminds me of somebody else's bright yellow truck with a big spare on the back :_thinking) and it kind of balances the look...mine will be just stickin' way the heck out there....I'm still not sure if I'm keepin' it....I like the other style bumperette from Go Rhino much better but it doesn't offer the 25mph protection. I keep thinking it's more important to protect my neck AND the back cladding....but logic rarely prevails over aesthetics! :rollo:

Paint it pink ... it'll look fine.

BTW, if I put the matching bumper on front, this is the roll cage concept I have in mind (in the event of a roll over, just roll it back upright & keep goin).

I actually resurrected this thread for a reason. Where did y'all get those 'bumperettes'. I'm thinking that the hiney protection would be a good investment if Boy ever drives the VX to school.

Here's my new "bully bar" installed....
I ended up liking it a bit more than I thought I was going to...it's still kinda fugly, but it's useful since it can absorb some impact. It also makes a great step so you can get to the roof rack, CB antenna, etc much easier...

Yup, saw him and Pat last weekend. Got the hitch installed so I can now finally use the bully bar /bumperette (sorry James :p)from superbumper.com

I don't have a bully bar on my hitch but rather an ultrasonic rear-view sonar array. Very batman. Its a collision avoidance system rather than obstacle destruction system. Works well as a poor mans rear cam and very sturdy to use as a step too! If it fails to warn, I'm sure I'll hear the crunch of the plastic fail which gives a tertiary level of protection... hehe

I have the Isuzu OEM version of this backup sensor. Works okay, progressive beeping is a bit erratic. I have it turned off right now.

Say what!? I had one on my previous car so I know what it does, but tell me more about what you have. Must be from another Isuzu model I'm guessing.

Not sure where it came from, one of the previous owners must have installed it. I'm on the BB (training is super boring) so you'll have to flip through my gallery to find the pic, but there are 3-4 sensors mounted in the rear cladding. The control unit for it is installed in the tire iron storage compartment, and the on/off/volume switch is mounted on the passenger side of the center console.

Here you go Sue, I was wrong on the number of sensors, it's just two, which probably explains some of the inaccuracy. You can see them pretty clearly in this pic:

That's pretty cool VT, wonder if I could haxor my unit to install its sensors in the cladding. Seems like it should be fairly simple. Gonna look into it.
