hey so...i was throwin some idea's around in my head today when i was bored at work..
would anyone from colorado or the area be interested in trailoring 2 VX's???
my dad has an F350- with a HUGE flatbed...the weight would definately not be a problem, he usually tows around 20k lbs....
ill check on the length of it tomorrow but we may even be able to fit 3...
i dunno, he gets around 20 MPG and it would be much cheaper to throw 2 VX's on a trailer and it would cost around $40 a piece each way (i figure 30 something gallon tank, goes almost exactly 500 miles per tank)
not a necessity but its a possibility for sure...plus we could save some tire tread ;)
If you go to the bottom of this page you can download PDF Topo maps for free for all of Utah!
My father in law called last night, he came through for firewood. Looks like I will have about half a cord or so, plenty for everyone, only thing is, its green. It hedgeapple, so it will burn HOT for a long time. He rocks. Only a month and some change to go...I will bring pics from the uhwarrie Isuzu meet as well.
(Don't worry, if you have read my other posts, I don't just talk politics:smack:. I have lots of sea stories I can tell around the campfire...LOL.
Thanks for getting the wood!
Peace.

One of the biggest things that I regret sitting here in Moscow is not being able to join you guys on the trip this time....
Anyway, have a nice one, and make sure you take a lot of photos!!!
p.s. I recently managed to bring my new Ironman back to life, engine repair was $6k and 2 months of work/waiting for spare parts to be delivered
But now IT LOOKS COOL! As cool as my previous (Rickster's) one did...
I will be posting some pictures soon
congrats petos! im glad that you got a VX working!!
ps-
no takers on saving some tire tread and money?? i cant imagine that people arent interested in that....
Heck, you practically live next door to Moab...hardly worth the effort. Now, if you wanted to swing up here and pick me and the Trooper up, let's talk! ;)
well...im figuring one tank of gas each way in the ford (gets around 500 miles to the tank)...around $80 per tank of gas....split two ways is $40 each way...total of $80 round trip
now look at that in my VX.... 2 tanks each way at $90 total...thats $180 vs. $80....$100 savings...plus some serious wear on $1200 tires...
just a thought...
you got it gill ;)
well, i spoke with my dad today and i guess his trailer is currently in california so it wouldnt work out anyhow, so i suppose its good that i didnt get anyone excited :p
:(OK guys, sorry about this but our plans have changed. Our motorhome lost the transmission and won't be ready for 'ZuZoo so the pot luck dinner is out for our place this year on Tuesday at Pack Creek. I am not even sure where we will be at right now but we do have options.
