Fantastic! No sacrifices afterall, lol! :laughy:
I'm an OCD perfectionist; it's simply not in my nature to chill out. ;Dy; Though the photo makes me feel much better...you'd never even know the cladding was trimmed unless you did indeed know better, lol. Thanks for the reassurance. :happyface
I just realized I'm still in this category -- I should upgrade! :yesy:
Me too!! And I've never even been to Moab before, lol! This road trip kicks off my shortened "summer" vacation (I'm taking a summer microbiology class from June-Aug), and the best part: my spring finals will be done! So exciting!!! ;Dy;;Dy;;Dy;
...what's with the song about cake? Entertaining, but just plain odd. :_thinking
Ah, that explains everything! See you soon.
I'm like "going to Disney world" excited right now. have a tent site at pack creek from sat through wed, and wll probably splurge on a hotel for the rest of the week... Man, Ive been spending like crazy this last week on all sorts of things i thought id use in moab (and the zombie apocalypse) but never got around to buying til now..
Hows the weather in UT in May?
Any folks leaving colorado Saturday or maybe Sunday and want a complete stranger in the convoy? I even bought a shiny new cb radio to talk to truckers...oh wait, that sounds weird.
This reminds me...are y'all using CBs this year? I think I might have one laying around in storage somewhere if I remember correctly...it's about as old as I am, but it'll do the trick.
...and that totally doesn't sound weird. I'll probably do the same thing. ;py;
Expect mid 80s (minimum) for daytime, mid 50s night...it's hot....bring lots of water every day...thus my new storage cubbies for two 1 liter water bottles.

You guys better review the Moab checklists:
CB is a must.

pbkid (Jack), NocturnalVX (Gill and CeCe) and BigSwede (Steve) and I think a few other VXers are forming a small convoy out of Denver I believe.

Or, it could be cold, windy, rainy and snowing like last year :)
Anything from the 40s at night to the 90s by day is possible...if you are camping bring a warm sleeping bag, seriously.
A few of us will be having breakfast at the Dennys at I-70 and Kipling (in Wheat Ridge? west side of Denver) on Sunday morning, heading for Moab from there. Not sure who all will be there, Gill & CeCe in a VX, I'll be in my Trooper are all I know for sure. I thought Jack was heading over Saturday?Quote:

The last Midwest meet we did Kasia showed up! She hit some rough times VX wise and issues with insignificant other. I won't comment any further on that though. She is doing great with her job and gotten a couple of promotions, I believe. She shared in my woes of missing my Proton and hers...the meet was seriously lacking some color!!! ;) She is driving in her words, "a stupid honda" civic or maybe an accord...I can't remember... She wants to get another trail rig last I heard. We keep in touch with her every now and then, have her over for some Captain Stabbin's and Halo! Visiting the forum makes her sad (I know the feeling), but it's bittersweet because ya'll know how to put a smile on my face!!!
EEEEEEKKKKKKKK!!!! MMMMMMOOOOOOAAAAAABBBBBB!!!! We leave in 6 days!!!!
Have fun in St. Louis, I hear that's where that big bendy thing is. (apologies to Bill Engvall...)
All set to bring the VX to St. Charles Automotive next week, and do a little sightseeing at the bendy thing. Can't wait to see y'all!
Oh yeah... all you maybes better show. Once you experience Moab you'll never want to miss it!
Well, this happened to us.
With Laura getting the shingles, me have the shoulder operated on and the rehab that follows, we're screwed. We got hit so bad financially, there's no way that we can afford to get there. Along with that, Laura has no time at work as she burned what she had being sick. I'm right in the middle of rehab and with the extra shell out of co-pays, it makes it just that much worse.
It just seems, as of late, someone does not want me to show up in Moab.
