Haha, that driveshaft angle and pinion angle scares me. I don't see it going over 40mph until that is addressed somehow.

I assume those may be the fuel return lines, so around the intake you may see some other cut hoses as well...? Or perhaps, near the engine, the return was just looped back in to the supply line somehow...? It is even possible this engine did not come with a fuel return line so the lines from the tank were disregarded.
I really hate the design of those shackle hangers! At the very least, I would make a brace of some sort to join them. Or preferably flip the shackles...? Not trying to get in your face; just ideas cuz I wouldn't trust them. :noy:
For the record, I love this thing, it just needs some serious porn star love. :smilewink
Zeus thanks for for your concern & input. The tank is my first project that needs fixed. I have a engine light on at the dash. The code comes back evap leak. Well I spotted this before I gave any money. This is it! I can't get real licence tags till I fix it. It also dumps fuel on the ground when I get gas. I thought it might have had a expansion tank that got eliminated when they dropped the tank to weld on the rear springs. So I will spend some time under it this weekend. The shackle hangers do needed more attention. But not till spring. Winter set in already and my garage is packed tight. I can pull one bronco out and back in vx to do a little work . But the other bronco needs to spend the winter in there. I need to post a pic of the 3rd bronco. It is very rare and special rig.
That there is SCHWEET......:bwgy::smilewink:bgwo::bgwb:

Are you kidding me?! How can you NOT have fussy dice in that thing! Haha what a cool ride. How about some inside pics?
You know, with all those Broncs around, maybe you should swap that VX off the Dodge frame & onto one of those! :)
I sold a nice EB rolling chassis this year. I thought about building something. I had 4 ebs at one time. It was too much. I don't have any pics of the inside of camperbronco right now. My computer died, I will get a new one this winter. Jo why did you sell it. Life can't be the same with out rolling topless. :rotate:
Zuse , I want to thank you again for stepping up and trying to help me! Criticize me, I want your help. Help me fix Frankenstein. I can take it!
I tied those lines together off the fuel tank. I don't know, its a closed system now. I might hook up a expansion tank if this doesn't work. Here is a pic of my new radiator, & pic of the front tower. They did a nice job putting those on.http://www.vehicross.info/gallery/da...152036_038.jpghttp://www.vehicross.info/gallery/da...152113_250.jpg
DOH! Git 'er dun!
OK, start over! HAHA! :p J/k, I'll help where I can...
Ha! Yeah, meant the "Bunkin' Bronc"! I could also see fuzzies on Jo's ride too tho... if it had a rear view!
A GM radiator now? Keepin the Franken' franked, I see! :) If you create an account on AutoZone.com you gain access to a database which allows you to look up wiring diagrams & diagrams for several other systems in vehicles you specify. I have found it handy when attempting to combine wiring & drivetrain from a Sierra with an S-10. I'm not sure they have a VX on record but checking out the Dodge stuff might give you some clues to how it all started & would help you order parts down the road. :yeso:
Btw, I gotta tell ya... today my dad bought ANOTHER Jeep - a 1942 Willys MB with a GM 350, T-18, Overdrive Unit, Spicer 18, P/S, 4.56 gears, 33"s, full cage, baja seats, nice blue paint - $2900. Great deal!

Zeus thanks for the wireing info. I had frankies codes read the other day. 6 came up, 4 to the trans 1 to battery, 1 bad co2 sensor $62. So getting tags is closer. Hey where does your dad put all those jeeps?
He has 2.5 acres in Wyoming & I have the rest in two locations here in Utah. We both need to sell a few off.
I was in a bar tonight. I shared a pic of Frankenstein with a motor head that works there. He went nuts telling me he seen it going down the road one day. He has been telling and asking everybody about it. They all think he is crazy. Times like this are priceless.
:laughing:I just got a letter, it says I purchased a 1999 VehiCROSS one month ago. It said my factory warranty has expired. Somebody wants to extend my factory warranty for more money. I wish I could get someone to cover this rig. Maybe I should give them a call.
Would that be the Dodge factory warranty or the Isuzu factory warranty? :p
Zeus, that is a good question. I am working some crazy hour's right now. This is my busy season, I am Santa Claus. So after the holiday I will call them. I will ask them if they will cover Frankenstein both ways. Oh... and Merry Christmas to all my good VXrs!
If you ever decide to sell it... I WANT IT!!!!
I have a lot of fun to get out of it first. I don't have any plans on selling it yet. I predict what will happen. I will start hitting the cruise inn's in the spring. Somebody will offer me a big pile of money. It will depend on how big the pile gets.
Today I rebuilt my articulation ramp. It was raining and I don't have my front drive shaft fixed and in yet. I can tell you old Frankenstein has some flex! :cool!:
Doing some mall crawlinghttp://www.vehicross.info/gallery/da...102519_465.jpg
Today I went to a wrecking yard. It cost me $85 for some parts for the interior. I feel I got a great deal. I need to clean these parts. So pics tomorrow. Its the only yard in a 1 hr drive that has any vehicross. I am so happy! Frankenstein is getting more loving. ;D
OK, here is my junk yard score from yesterday. Oh joy! :dan_ban:http://www.vehicross.info/gallery/da...144507_388.jpg
OOH! That will be a big help. Did you already have the steering column shroud or was that not available?
My whole steering column is dodge. :bgwo: I got a dodge one a month ago.
And so begins the porn star love... it's about to get kinky up in hea!
I have good news! I will be installing my front drive shaft friday. I had it made. The cockpit looks a lot better also. I will try to upload pics again. Could take some work. I drive Frankenstein almost every day, what a rush! It's a big hit at all the car shows. I did my first burn out today, great fun!
Pics or it didn't happen... U know that. :P
I spent hours loving Frankenstein today. The front drive shaft is on and beautiful. I will go for some pics tomorrow. I have also figured out my wandering problem, keeping me from rolling over 45 mph. This will be my next project.
I took Frankenstein to the Dodge service dept. After a quick inspection of the front end, they figured out why it wants to wander a little. The front axle is tipped a little to forward, to make the drive line straight. So I have to roll it back, just a little, to take the wander out of it.
Cut and rotate the knuckles?
Maybe, I might be able to cut the Dodge upper control arms, and rework them. I don't like the way they were done.
How are you going to adjust that?
I just took a pic, but it's too large. I need to downsize it on my computer, then upload it. This might take me another day. Hang in there.

So I'm thinking cutting top arms loose at the crappy end. Do some cutting, box and weld it. The bottom arms look good. Its like dr.jekyll and Mr beer worked on it. Dr. Jekyll was pretty good till he started drinking beer! You can also see my new driveshaft in this pic.
