how reflective is the hood insert now? the entire purpose of it was to be a dull color to absorb the reflected glare from the sun off the steep angle of the hood - notice any difference?

im actually planning on a carbon fiber wrap for my VX. here in El Paso i have a guy doing everything except the cladding for just under $1200.00
the cladding is too pourus and ruff. you would have to sand it down to look like normal bumper (alot of prep work). if you do scratch it it would be a matter of puttin a new piece on. i plan on doing 3 coats of clear coat to give it a slighty more glossy look as well as protecting from minor scatches. also extends to life of the wrap (Fading). i will post pics when i finally get it done in the next few months if anyone would like to see
3M discontinued the Di-Noc wrap and was giving it pretty serious discounting when I checked about two months ago. Ask your shop if they're applying 3M's new material or their old material and what (if any) advantages there are to each.
