I agree. Very nice work. Since I'd already bought a set of used knobs from you (and haven't lost the rack flaps), I don't currently have a need. But, I'd certainly choose this option if necessary!
Didn't see it mentioned, but I hope you two will consider replacement rail covers and think you'd have two options. 1) replicate the stock part 2) create a version with cutout to install roof racks.
The extra durability part is what sounds best! Old plastic stuff just gets brittle with age and can't cut it forever.

Hm, all my flaps and knobs are intact so I'm good there (knock on wood). However, if he is going to potentially tackle the towers, how difficult would it be to make them shorter? I'd really be interested in shortened towers and two sets of rail covers (cut and un).
...but think how cool it would look to have Astral color knobs on the spare tire cover...uhhuh....you'd be the coolest dude around! And if you're the coolest dude around, if you lost a single flap, think how that would affect your image.....you better get some back ups NOW!!Quote:
