Heat and AC controls...

Just curious if anyone has experiece or knowledge of how the heat/AC controls are hooked up? Cables? Wired? Vacuum? I intend to relocate my controls down to where the CD Changer is so I can move everything around so that the monitor can be flushed mounted up at the top of the dash... the AC vents will be relocated down to where the ashtray and cig lighter are... my DVD player will be mounted where the AC controls are. Anyway, anyone have suggestions? Or, does anyone know where I can find the equivalant of a shop manual that will show the controls? Any help would be appreciated.
