Perhaps this descentcontrol can be mounted on our tod system?

That video really doesn't show what it does. The 2000 and up Troopers had what was called Grade Logic. It basically downshifts to slow the truck when the grade is steep enough, and it prevents the 3-4-3-4-3 shifts that happen on some grades when driving uphill. It handles the latter by leaving it in 3rd gear until the grade changes.
