how to disconnect door/ign buzzer?

So i was removing the cd changer last night and had the door open and the ignition on so i could have the transmission shift lever back so i could get in there and had to listen to that incredibly annoying beep/chime/buzzer thing going off all the time, i tried to locate it so i could remove it and destroy it in a very physical way but the damn noise was such a bloody annoying pitch that i couldnt pinpoint where it was coming from. Arrgggghhhh!

Now i've calmed down, anyone know an easy way to disconnect/remove/disable it? or at least where it is and what it looks like.

Incidentally i had a rental car a while ago, (cant remember what it was) but the door buzzer was this gentle very pleasant soothing chime to ploitely remind you, not the obnoxious ear piercing tornado siren that we have!!!

put a toothpick or a matchstick in the doorswitch(b pilar) then you can work on it with an open door. a small piece of tie rib will also work.
