Hey - I need a favour
Pls ..I need to get to the bottom of the door check pin issue from my previous posts..SO I need somone in the US [as I'm trying to get StCharles to source the part]..to get a hammer and a pair of pliers {sp?] tap the door pin up, pull it out, slide out the section that comes from the door and look to see if the US models differ from the JDM [pls take a digital pic and post]..its 3 min job and can be done by yourself, as the door is still held by the 2 main top /bottom hinges..when I did mine ..5 x now, to protect paint from waywould hammer taps or plier movement i used a lid off a cardboard box to shield the paint..as I said a very easy job so i hope someone is game..I have attached pics below of the 'door check pin assembly' and arrows point to the plastic/nylon bushes placement [this is the part I want]..the 'bush' is needed to cushion the pins movement within the fixed bracket off the car body pillar...when using the door...I checked the CD manual that I have of the US VX it doesn't mention this part ..but then its not as detailed as I thought it may have been...SO pls I hope someone can help

Mbeach
thanks heaps for the link [saved !!], see below I have taken a chunk of that pic and shown where my nylon/plastic bush goes...the diagram on the site talks of a 'nut' [27] that goes there but look at my pics you can see that that [in JDM case] is the nylon bush ..it sits down in that loop forming a cushioning sleeve..then that whole mechanism slides back in to the bracket on the door pillar and then the 'check pin' [28] slides down thru the lot to hold it all in place...
