VX Alarm

I'm getting ready to have a shop install and aftermarket remote/alarm system. Is there anything special I should let them know about the stock VX alarm (besides the fact that it's worthless)? How easy is it to remove and such? Thanks in advance!!

Aside from the entire alarms' removal, make sure that they know that there is NO pin-switch for the rear door. They'll have to install one in there as well as underhood.

Remote start has caused problems, if you get that feature, make sure they know this and do it right

:confused: Why is the alarm worthless?

It may not be worthless, but I've ran into, thrown, hit, stumbled, and cracked my car without any hint of an alarm going off. Not to mention it's not connected to the rear door. It probably is worth something...to someone...somewhere. :rolleyes:
