Well its finally happened.... 51,000mi and a blown motor. I took it into the dealer and one guy was like o this is gonna be its third motor. Apparently the original owner had replaced the motor at 25,000mi and it never came up on my carfax report. It was pretty funny when the service manager accused me of not upkeeping it properly and I had my service records handy showing synthetic oil changes every 2,500 mi since i bought it as well as synthetic diff and trans changes at 29,000 and 49,000mi
Third engine within 51k on the same vehicle and the dealer/mechanics did the job all three times??

Yeah thats what I said! My VX is my baby so I always pamper it.... Had a friend with a 3.5L in his monte carlo and he had the same problem...
HMMM...three motors...same dealer....
Kinda makes me what to set up an appointment to have that dealer look at my IronMan..........NOT!

I have an engine for sale if you are looking. I'm about an hour from Reading.
Its all covered under my warranty until '08 or 75,000mi.... Bought that extra warranty from the dealer thank god. Its just a hassle.... They set me up with a rental car for free and are replacing my headlight housings(rubber gasket was falling off), and replacing my peeling factory wheels. The dealership I bought it at has always been ok its just this new service manager there. I should be getting it back by the end of the week after driving a rental car for 5 weeks.
Everytime I read one of these "blown motor stories" I get kind-of scared. These posts should be rated PG-13 for some violence and tense adult themes.
Somebody tell me a happy VX story, so I don't need my teddy bear when I go to bed tonight ;)
