Did they actually build any VX convertibles?
Does anybody do the conversion or was it just a concept? I think the topless VX looks super nice. I can just see one done in yellow.
I like the way the back of the VX is designed.

The VX-02 was a concept convertable VX . It was a two-seater with a covered back. The concept was to mimic a voice activated automatic hard top, I believe. The convertable is stored in the Isuzu Headquarters in Cerritos, CA along with the 4 door and many other nifty concept vehicles. It was used in the movie "Mission to Mars" a few years back.

Some years back I was lucky enough to strike a deal with some great Isuzu execs to have a VX Meet there. They were gracious enough to open their garage for us to see the concepts. They pulled out the 4 door VX, the VX prototype and let us take turns driving the convertable.

Do you have any idea what they would want for it?
I'm sure somebody had to ask them.
I know that's it s probably not for sale. Do you have a contact there that I can get in touch with?
I remember at the meet the execs were jokingly offering to sell it to me - at least I think they were kidding. I was told that the convertable cost a million $ to create from concept to fruition. Unfortunately, my Isuzu contacts returned to work in Japan for Isuzu Japan. I dont know who you would talk to now.
did the vx02 drive any different then our vx?

I guess a fellow could call and talk to someone at the offices. They would know if it were for sell.
